Either way, seeing a young and passionate empiricist fills my heart with joy (even though I do not agree with her that Christ and empiricism don't mix. She must've read too much Richard Dawkins).

And I bet you're confusing Francis Bacon the painter and Francis Bacon the philosopher, in which case you're getting the three Bacons mixed up.
