Convention Time!

http://news.yahoo.co...-221739420.html

MEXICO CITY (AP) — About 300 professional clowns in Mexico say they hope their 15-minute non-stop laugh-a-thon will make a contribution to world peace.

The clowns from Mexico and Central America are in Mexico City for a four-day convention to trade jokes and hone skills like making balloon figures.

They gathered Wednesday at Mexico City's Mother's Monument under the slogan "Clowns For Peace, A World Without Violence."

They posed for a group picture and then set about laughing, tee-heeing and guffawing for about 15 minutes, on the premise that a world with more laughter will have less time or appetite for violence.

The demonstration comes amid continuing violence in Mexico's drug war.

A group of 60 Elvis impersonators had to flee a charity fundraiser...

The lookalikes were attending a charity function in Rochester, Kent, when the fire alarm sounded late on Saturday night.
...

Guests leaving the hotel were stunned to see a group of around 60 impersonators, dressed in wigs and full rhinestone costume, gathered in the car park.

"I was in a bit of a state getting out of my room," one guest told the Daily Mirror. "But I was more confused when I got outside to see all these people dressed as Elvis.

"There were people in full Elvis jumpsuits and wigs standing by a roundabout, looking a bit worse for the wear."

British Elvis impersonators.

Evil Birthday Clown: Will Stalk Your Child For a Fee

This is no spoof.
For any parent who wants to absolutely terrify their birthday boys and girls, Dominic Deville is there to the rescue. As the”Evil Birthday Clown”, Dominic will stalk your kids for a week, leaving creepy notes and warnings.
“The child feels more and more that it is being pursued,” Deville explained his seven-day strategy. “The clown’s one and only aim is to smash a cake into the face of his victim, when they least expect it, during the course of seven days.”
Throughout the week, Deville will bombard the kids with scary messages and threatening phone calls to let them know that “their time is coming.”
“If at any point the kids get scared or their parents are concerned we stop right there,” he added. “But most kids absolutely love being scared senseless.”
At the end of the seven days of terror, Deville will ambush the child in his clown costume and smash a cake into his scared face, ending the week and celebrating his birthday with a bang.
For parents who are thinking of doing this to their kids, I do hope that they are prepared for the months of therapy that may come along with it.

The man let the water trickle gently into his glass and as the green clouded, a mist fell from his mind. Then, he drank opaline.

(Reuters) - Reports of creepy clowns carrying knives and other weapons have been scaring people in the California city of Bakersfield for the past week, police said on Sunday.

In the latest incident, a person telephoned the Bakersfield Police Department on Saturday night, reporting a clown armed with a firearm, said watch commander Lieutenant Jason Matson.

"We've been having sightings all over the city," Matson said. "They range from anywhere from a guy carrying a gun to a guy carrying a knife running up to houses."

The Bakersfield Californian newspaper reported earlier in the week that at least some of the reports were hoaxes. Matson said he did not know whether the incidents were pranks.

At least one of the reports was not a hoax - police arrested a teen on Friday who had dressed up as a clown and was chasing children on the west side of town, Matson said. The juvenile, whose name was not released, said he was doing it to perpetrate a hoax he had seen online.

He was arrested on suspicion of annoying a minor and booked into the Kern County Juvenile Hall, Bakersfield police said in a news release.

A child who had been chased "was clearly scared," the release said.

Menacing clowns continue to creep out Bakersfield over the weekend

  • Gun-wielding clown reported in Bakersfield, the latest in a campaign of creep being carried out across city
  • Reports of weapon-wielding clowns continue over the weekend in Bakersfield

Reports of menacing clowns roaming Bakersfield continued over the weekend, the latest involving reports of one of them wielding a gun before disappearing into the night, police said.

Authorities responded to a call about 8 p.m. Saturday of a person wearing a clown suit and holding a gun near Valhalla Drive and Belle Terrace, the Bakersfield Californian reported.

When officers arrived, there was no clown in sight, but the call was only the latest in an apparent days-long campaign of creep being carried out across the city where police have received reports of clowns standing in public holding weapons, including machetes and baseball bats.

An Oswego mother alleged that she and her daughter were assaulted by two actors while visiting the Massacre Haunted House on Oct. 11.

According to a lawsuit filed last week in Kane county, two employees dressed as clowns and wielding “adult toys” approached the victims and three other minor children in the business’ parking lot.

One actor, identified by police as Robert Keller, 23, of Algonquin, had an adult toy in his hand that he began waving and poking the victim’s minor child with, the suit said.

A second man, only identified in the suit as John Doe, had a teddy bear with him, which he had allegedly attached an adult toy to, the victim said.

Keller, was charged with battery and disorderly conduct. The second employee has not been identified by police or charged.

Xure I do.

With the sound off

so I don't get upset with all the lies.

And the picture dimmed

so I'm not influenced by the sight

of orange clown paint.
