There are over 620,000 words in the English language and yet somehow none of them do this ANY justice.

People of Walmart....of course. There is a Walmart here on the "eastside of town" and every time I have gone there I see at least one "Mullet". My record is seven in one visit.
The man let the water trickle gently into his glass and as the green clouded, a mist fell from his mind. Then, he drank opaline.

I built the 3 cinder block sides and a roof 10 years ago to put my junk cars in. This year I got rid of the cars and closed in the building. I insulated the block with zonolite then I went back and put 2 inch blue board foam, 4 inch 2X4 stud wall, filled that with R-16. Now I have 15 inch thick walls. The ceiling has R-36 insulation. The (crash and burn rated) door is toggle bolted into the concrete block which was slushed and back filled with mortar . A coat of oil base safety red protects it. A 3 horse power remote control, cyclonic, toroidal dust collector handles the air situation. Right now I am finishing up the ducting for the dust collector, running piping for the oxygen and propane and plumbing in air lines for the pneumatics.

Just under 600 square feet in the shop proper. That needed over 125 receptacles. 30 circuit breakers, all outlets 20 amp, 12 gauge wire, 10 dedicated outlets, 4 220 receptacles.
I spent over 50 man hours just installing and painting the red door. Red oil base is a bitch to get just right.

I almost had a break down when I broke down my work bench to move it, that was 3 weeks ago and I'm still not up and running, all my bits and pieces scattered. I feel like I may never get it up again and I'm desperate to get to work. Orders outstanding, bills to pay. It took me 8 hours to remake a crappy made 220 outlet for my welder, fell apart in my hand while I was trying to lace the 8 gauge wire into it, had to drill it, bolt it and case it in kevlar. Everything takes me longer to do, I'm not a professional, just a perfectionist, the time I wasted on details that will never come to light is a crime. The herb harvest coming in is measly because of all the time I wasted on this project.
There is one mistake an amateur always makes when building; doing too good of a job. Then again, no matter how good you do, you will find you should have done it different, or you will have someone say; "why didn't you. . . " it will infect you, you will be going. . .: why didn't I. . .

I was real happy after I nailed and screwed all my receptacle boxes, I used a chalk line to go by. Then I started wiring the outlets, strip just enough, candy cane the wire, pinch shut around the screw, torque it to the max, do that 600 times. So I go to cut the dry wall and that chalk line I followed on the boxes, I should have followed closer. I'm wore down.

I met an artist in Oregon who envisioned making a small one, fueled with uranium from crushed vintage Fiestaware plates. He was going to put a goldfish in it and cook the fish when the thing went critical. But the state confiscated his uranium. Kirk has enough black helicopters buzzing his shop already, so don't shoot your eye out, kid.

I can't buy cad cam so I am trying to find a way of competing with it. There is a little cam can't do, I'm trying to squeeze into the niche that's left of what a hand can do. When my competition (and source of work) bought a laser I grieved about it, thought about buying one then decided to double down, I'll never buy one, cad either, I'll just spend my time doing what the big boys can't afford to do; spend my time.
