I'm beginning to think it's even more complex, even better crafted, and just plain even grater than the Stille.

Of course, it's, hands down, the best sour I've ever tasted, so that wood figger.

Heres a great clip of Anson back when he was a youngster.

Back when I was really young, I had a cassette tape of Count Basie with Joe Williams and Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson. It had a killer version of Every day I have the Blues. I have no idea of what ever happened to that tape. It was one of my all time favorites.

Pretty good. I'm glad they got back together, it was a fun show. You don't often get a chance to see living legends.

On the downside, tickets were still being sold when I went in, I don't think it was a sell-out.

I got paid to see Steely Dan the other nite at the Wang Center in Boston. Yep.

Getting paid anything to go see a show is o.k. by me. Especially Steely Dan. I like S.D. I was a little disappointed but only because I think that they are a better studio band than a stage band. Just my opinion though. I still like them and getting paid to see them is a bonus.

You don't like Steely Dan?

I don't think touring was ever a consideration
when Becker and Fagan first went into the studio.

Yeah, I was thinking that at least some people would agree with me. I was just trying to be politically correct and not hurt anyone's feelings. I didn't think that they were a touring band. So do they have to tour now because albums, tapes, cds are obsolete? I hear that the only way for a band to make money anymore is to tour. Everything is up on the internet now so no one needs to buy music anymore. I guess. That might be just my opinion too.

I always liked Steely Dan, those guys must have practiced a lot, back in the day they were so tight and on time, they never missed a beat, it was like listening to a metronome that plays all the notes.

I discovered them almost by accident but I have turned into a HUGE fan of Sharon Den Adel and Within Temptation!

As a man I would tell you that she is just plain hot.

And as a woman, I would tell you that she presents herself with just the right balance of strength and beauty.

You choose...

And I absolutely love the fact that she is a costume nut!

Does anyone here still listen to vinyl on a regular basis?
Anyone have a tube amp? Is it worth the the trouble?
I'm listening to vinyl a lot more lately, I'm using old solid state Hafler stuff that I get off ebay dirt cheap, David Hafler DH 220 power amp, $100, DH 100 or 110 pre amp, $75 and I go back and forth from a dh 330 tuner to a Mcintosh MR77. My turntable is junk but I don't want to spend anything on it.
Tried to get into a tube amp but can't afford it, tried for a pair of Mcintosh Mc 30 amps but they go for too much money.
Anyone have a good tube amp or pre amp they want to get rid of?
TGO, do you have one of those fancy turntables you posted?

Lately my 5 year old iPod shuffle plugged into a set of small computer speakers in my loading room. Otherwise I Air Tunes from the computer out front to the home theater sound system.
My turntable is in the closet with the vinyl.

I love my MP3 player on my cellphone... it keeps me entertained for hours on end but recently I purchased a stand-up Victrola at a flea market for a VERY reasonable price!

The only thing I really needed to replace was the rubber seal that goes from the Sound Box to the Tube / Tonearm.

So I've been trying to scoop up some nice 78's here and there.

Bought a nice 78 Bing Crosby Christmas set just in time!

I've noticed, Kirk that vinyl is making somesort of comeback...

I think the young-uns want to hear that snap, crackle and pop that they've never heard from the countless downloading of 128 bitrate MP3's.

As many will attest, my equipment is of a much more modest means.

Butt that's not the same,
at all, is it?

I can't even hump and breathe in the same rhythm.
Let alone titillate two necks at once. It's impressive.

That's not just the same page,
it's one long continuous playlist.

A very cool playlist. I just wish
some of them weren't unavailable.

James Brown at the end is hilarious.

Thanks, Eric.

Annie is jamming away while the camera shows the patrons, not a person is whispering. The last time I saw a blues band in a bar, no one would shut the fuck up, they all came to run their mouths and get sloppy drunk. I almost started going slap happy.
