That's all.

I listened to Rush slam Jimmy today (or was it yesterday?)...

I just have to say that being against the war can simply mean that you value the life of our sons and daughters MORE than you value the propagated benefit of freedom for those in Iraq. And can someone tell me please when that became a national priority???

GODDAMN!!!

Furthermore...

CG gave me this question based on my statement that I wanted the best world possible for my daughter.

He asked what would change in her life now?

And in a drunken state of Wonderland, covered w/ Rat Poop, I answered 'nothing'.

Well.

I take that back. If we allow the world to get F'ed up, then the world we pass onto future generations is flawed.

As a parent I can't take that attitude.

As my Grandmother told me many, many times in recounting the events of Paris in WWII...

...

...

Vive la Révolution!

I fucking hate Rush. Even when I was 16, I thought that 2112 was overblown and pompous. The bad hair, the whiney voice, the stupid neo-hobbit rock...no thanks.

War is ok, though. Their Latino-infused funk grooves have an honesty and humility that made them sound fresh and unique in an era when everything else was derivative. And I dug 'Lowrider.'

Moral of the story: listen to War, not Rush.

Ha!

No, somehow I've convinced myself that listening to him gives me some understanding of a conservative viewpoint...

... though that may not be fair to them.
