My habanero bush was cut back this winter and is now on the front porch, leafing out nicely for a third year.  Even better, a lizard has claimed it.  I see her on the same branch every day, pretending to be part of a stem.  Best kind of pest control.


Last year I had a hydroponic tower without much success - chives thrived, and some peppermint.  This year it's all strawberries, just planted them.  They're usually planted in winter in this area, but this particular winter would have killed them, I'm sure.

You might be surprised how well old goat sausages are able to stand up to the heat.
