Somewhere I got an old Victor 78 of Missus Murphy's Chowder.
Raindog
Missed the Willy Nelson show last night, it sold out five months ago. He opened with whiskey river, they even served on the side. I hate that I missed that one.
Le Gimp
We could always go with "Mothers FInest" or maybe Rufis with Chaca Khan.
DrinkSlinger
Oops, I thought this was about a secret shame.

Music? I will always love the soundtrack to "The Sound of Music".

My musical tastes are shameless. At least half of the things listed I enjoy. My tastes are too eclectic for shame to even enter in the picture - my CD collection has the Lion King soundtrack next to the Metallic black album, Coltrane next to Greenday.
Absinthe_1900
Looking through my 2 min. Wax Edison cylinders, one that came with the machine from 1905.
It has two guys (Collins & Harlon) doing a Vaudeville routine, (In Blackface) the jokes are so bad you have to wince when you hear them. nopity.gif

It's so awful, but fascinating to hear something almost 100 years old.
DGLeadbetter
I feel that way when ever the Mayor posts.

Louched Liver
Ok, I'll take the blackface off.
DGLeadbetter
I was talking about the "so awful, but fascinating to hear something almost 100 years old," part.

I had a buddy over to the house yesterday and I hooked my ipod to the stereo on random.

For some reason it played every one of my secret shame songs one after the other.

I almost had to shut it off when "My Sharona" came on but I couldn't, I just had to listen. I just love that piece of crap song.
lysistrata
Neil Diamond (any/all up thru the album "Beautiful Noise")
the Monkees
the Sweet (up thru "Desolation Blvd")

Ok, laugh.

Beats The New Republicans I suppose.

Abby, you are among fellows.
Cast off your shame, sister!
Tom Jones is ultraminty!
A.B. Normal
You make me happy, Peeps.

Bring your Tom Jones to LCLF and I'll bring mine.

Worse?
American Pie.
Every time I chance upon it, I am stuck for the entire 20 minutes that it takes to finish.
I am so ashamed.

Try the 2 minute version by Pete and Wayne. They play regularily at Sloppy Joe's in Key West. You can find their link and sample their music at Sloppy Joes web site Sloppy Joe's

Hee!

I don't have any Tom Jones CDs. Will you still bring yours? I'm not sure Queen Tick's compilation will include quite enough Tom Jones.
A.B. Normal
You bet your boots, sister!

Love her husky voice in that song.

I wonder if she's died from lung cancer yet, you got to smoke a lot to get a voice like that.
Off. Jack Batemaster
The cool kids have always been listening to the Eddie Money.
CelticGent
snappin her fingers
Le Gimp
Actually, I'm only 15 years old and in the 9th grade still. Ninth row down, and I have a sister named Laruen.

You're 55, Gimp. You can't count, that's why you're still in the 9th grade!

Yeah,

That reminds me of some great beatings I've taken listening to Edie Money.

Oh Memories...
Le Gimp
Wrong. I can count. I can't spell.

Sorry for the oversized photo. Hope you have a high-speed connection.

My secret shame is the 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack. I must admit, it's crescent-fresh!
A.B. Normal
Oh yeah! I used to listen to that all the time when I was a kid.
Of course, I took ballet, tap and jazz so it was either that, Nutcracker, or Hooked on Swing, depending on what shoes I was wearing.

He was pretty big on MTV, when MTV was good.
Off. Jack Batemaster
You see Mulletman, back when I was a kid, MTV actually played music videos.
Mulletman
Yeah that's crazy talk. Do you remember that sweet video by Herbie Hancock with all the mannequins? I think the song was called "Rockit" I wish I could find that somewhere.........
Off. Jack Batemaster
Yep, Rockit. I have two copies of that 12", actually.
Off. Jack Batemaster
hmmm...interesting. I just looked and apparently they're worth about $50 a piece.
Mulletman
SELL SELL SELL!

Mulletman
Thats enough for one nice bottle of HG.
lambchop
HOLD, HOLD, HOLD!

It's cool to have two 12" copies of Rockit.
Le Gimp
I wonder if Star Wars records have any collector value worth selling it. I think I still have the one I got with a story book for the kids when they were young.
Off. Jack Batemaster
I don't sell any of my records. I've thought about it, though. Vinyl prices really fluctuate. I have the original Sugar Hill Gang - Rappers Delight, which used to be worth about $40, now it's worth about $10.
Off. Jack Batemaster
Gimp, if it's the picture disc, looks like I can get it for $7. If not, $9.
