I noticed the same thing with my very recently arrived bottle of K57. It's surprisingly good. I still don't think it compares favorably with Emile Blanche, but progress is certainly evident.

It has been a while since I was able to compare the two, but I really liked the Kubler. Of course, I liked the UE Blanche as well...

Emile blanche has a very clean, simple flavor with that upfront alcohol taste, wheras the Kubler is very mild with a deep complex taste. Not as good as an HG but definately my new favorite comercial brand.

My tastebuds aren't trained enough for me to give you any really helpful feedback.
But I do have to say,
I like it!Thanks for making it.

this has been addressed, since 68° alcohol doesn't seem to be necessary for a blanche to be at its best...of course, it will always be there, if you don't agree...
