I'm thinking we might have to have to instate Wormwood Societies in every state or region. Might be fun ...

But Wormwood Society™ belongs to Hiram.

Damn straight. But if you wanna murder some French, that's fine with me.

QUOTE
We arrived kind of late and the party ended earlier than I expected.

Dude, it was 3 AM! I'm old. Plus, the Wormwood Society™ wasn't really meant for hard-core booze-up-and-riot kind of partying, but something a little more genteel, as it were. Also, more for growing and informing the base of consumers, rather than GT's especially for HG'ers.
Off. Jack Batemaster
If I remember, the party ended around 12AM - I just stayed until 3AM.

FL. should step the fuck up.

I'd host a drunkfest here if my house was larger... currently, Kilo and I have to turn sideways to pass in the halls.

I'm thinkin we need an AZ chapter . . . Me, Abby Normal, Emmy (From FVerte), the Devil Dwarf Hobbitroll, and . . . um . . . Me (I'll drink for 2). Drunk.sml
DGLeadbetter
Yes, you all would make a fine constituency of desert drinkers.

DGLeadbetter
....and I guess that leaves me to be the lone SoCal Swigger ....

DG
A.B. Normal
Um, no Devil Dwarf Hobbitroll.

And who is this Emmy?

And DG, SoCal is but a $30 plane ride away.

All of you crazy fuckers in the same place at the same time, you could reach critical mass.

If I see a mushroom cloud rising from the west, I'll know what happened.
DGLeadbetter
Critical mass? I didn't know they were all Catholic.

Hey, I'm up to it!
I've extended a few private invites and am trying to recruit locally.

If ya'll are interested in some North Florida-style southern hospitality, we could have a Southeastern Louchefest here.(SELF)(that still sounds narscisitic or self-abusing to me)

My place has 4bdr/2.5 baths , 2 fireplaces(1real,1gas), a deck overlooking 2.5 wooded acres(translation privacy)

I also have broadband and , with a little technical assistance; maybe the first webcast Louchefest in history! smiley_abui.gif drooling8b.jpg

Sorry, the local gay bar doesn't have leather Leatherman.gif (too often), but they used to have an S&M show crouchmean.jpg and some of the ugliest drag queens.

Let me know.
Louched Liver
Shoot for simultaneous.
April 17th.
Even if it's just you and Moisture Mutt
from here, why not? Except he's a

Have you seen him recently!?!? He ain't so bouncy! What a guy, spent 6 months eating apples and taking long walks and he's as svelt as, well, a svelt person is.

He's still just as jolly though. And happily braiding leather straps in the desert.
Crosby
Glad he's still jolly and braided leather is right up Jack's alley.
Louched Liver
ps.jpg = alley?

Oh how I saw that coming.
DGLeadbetter
Then you were turned the wrong way.

musicgeek
Just checking in from Ohio here...we've got one in the works for about the same time. Anyone interested can PM me.
DGLeadbetter
Hey Geek ... welcome aboard. Why not take some time and introduce youself to the rest of the gang? Give us a little about who you are, why you're here, how you got into absinthe and what the meaning of life is.

DG
musicgeek
Another Fee Verte crossover. As for who I am...I am a courier driver for a company that many here are most likely VERY familiar with. Music and writing are my two great passions in life. I first tried absinthe around the end of last year (Started with LDF's 3 of the best)...since then I have been hooked. I have tried nine different commercial brands and am looking forward to trying an HG (Moonman is coming in May).

As for the "Meaning of Life"...I'll leave that to Monty Python.

Loved the pics, i was going to attend this months WS get together, but it looks like I'm gonna shoot for LCLF instead. I too like Musicgeek and a hell of a lot of other people here, am a FV crossover. I first got into Absinthe in 2000 when I was in EuroFuckyLand. Had read a bout it in art history and all the old paintings had intrigued me so I thought I'd give it a try. Had some Sebor in London (Not very good, but it could have been Hills) Then I found some really good HG at a lil shop in Austria, and I was hooked. When I got back to the states and researched getting some here, I saw the prices, and tried the essence (EKK!!!) Not even close. A few months ago I found FeeVerte, got some UE LB, UE 68, Serpis, etc, and am hooked.

Absomphe-looks like you had a great time at the last meeting of the WS. hippie_drunk_md_wht.gif DAMN

Now that sounds interesting. Got a bit more information on that?
verbal_kraze
Well I don't know if you would really call it an HG, or if it would really be all that good compaired to what we got now, all I got is memories. But compaired to what I had had before that, Sebor, it was friggin great. There was a small store in Innsbruck where they mad there own liqeuors, they had about 100 of them, and you could sample any of them (they's cut you off after a while though). There was an absinthe they made too. I got a 200ml bottle of it, but damn I should have gotten more. Compaired to Sebor the xit was amazing, although now that I look back on it, if my memory serves me correct it was quite similar to Mari Mayans, although not quite that brite. I'd love to go back and compare now that I have had much better comercial stuff. Still the shop was awesome, they had a really good fruity hemp liquor, and all kinds of other stuff. They would bottle it right there in your choice of allkinds of artsy bottles, you just paid by the ml.
verbal_kraze
Gertz, I love your sig here, being a Swede with a Danish last name.
Gertz
I guess most xit would be amazing compared to Sebor, but still - sounds like a place worth a visit, if one happens to pass through Austria. Which is not entirely unthinkable that I will do this summer.
verbal_kraze
Deffinately worth a stop if you're in Innsbruck, over 100 Schnapps and free samples, they're yummy. I'll try to figure out what the name of the place is. All I remember is it's next to the little building with the golden roof, a few doors to the right of that. It's a kind of famous landmark there.
Gertz
Douglas Adams claims he got the idea for The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy when drunk in Innsbruck.

Worth a try.
Crosby
I found a place in Bregenz that had a similar shop:

http://www.vomfass.de/deutsch/default_produkte.htm

It wasn't bad, nothing like Mari Mayans.

Off. Jack Batemaster

verbal_kraze
xit ALL the vintage in France. I'd be 20 again for that, but that would also mean I'd be back in college, I don't miss writing papers one bit. But, I think I could handle it with all that vintage.
