OK...here's the deal. I really don't have a nasty attitude. I can be sarcastic, garish, ridiculous and a real tardo at times, but that's just me...that's my style of humor, and I really don't mean to be offensive to anyone. On the flip side, I can be serious, and I do enjoy intellectually stimulating conversation. However, as I am forced to "be serious" for 8+ hours a day, I look to forums and such as a place to relax and bullsh*t. I was initially drawn to this forum because of our collective interest in the Green Fairy, but as I lurked, I realized that there was also a very interesting dynamic here—one that was quite different from that of the ABG or even LFV forums. I observed the juxtaposition of serious discussions and ridiculous banter, flaming and compliments. I also realized this to be a very thick-skinned group, and everyone seemed to understand—and accept—these attacks as playful ribbing. So, when I was encouraged to de-lurk and take part in the discussions, I assumed that my style would fit in perfectly here.

It seems as though I have taken too much liberty with my posts. Obviously I have offended some people. Again, that was not my intent.

So, to those whom I have offended during my short stay here—Rimmy, Six, Mayor, and anyone else—please accept my humblest apologies. I'm not trying to be a dick, nor am I trying to come in here and run sh*t. Before reading this thread today, I honestly thought that we were all playing—the whole "get yer shinebox" thing—but if you guys are really that upset, I will do my best to curb my errant behavior. Contrary to what some might think, I really like this forum, and the last thing I want is to be stigmatized as the asshole newbie. (CG's and/or Rimmy's response: "Too late.")

Anyway, with that said, I hereby myself for being a douchebag, and ask, "Can we be friends?" (CG's and/or Rimmy's response: "No.")

Playful ribbing and insults are different things -- there *is* the question of delivery style; randomly throwing in the occasional "asshole" isn't witty, though a well placed use of that word can be.

I do like the the new and improved grammar -- although you could have saved us a headache with a paragraph split or two¹ ;).

BTW, you can still earn CG's and Rimmy's respect. Doesn't mean they'll stop calling you a names, though. But at least your avatar isn't an evil penguin -- they'll probably abstain from making constant not-so-secret plans for its demise.
