It took 4 hours to cook this batch. Yummy (especially with beer).
This granola chick at work said I
should cook them for 24-48 hrs.
My grandmother/aunt/cousin in
SC could probably settle it.
I want to boil with strictly hard
cider. Would that be

The crickets are cricketing and I have
a decent vodka outlook (also no work
tomorrow). While my feets are on the bar,
I'm going to try Serpis again.
Smells like a candy store and, while
dripping, looks like b-movie entrails.
Maybe one of the slushie mixes would help.
Maybe I poured incorrectly. Maybe I'm
definately getting a new jersey (sic) water
taste also.

Nostrils deteriorating and skin
retracting while boils are bursting.
Nah, kidding, Serpis is not that bad.
Neither is my itching, swelling brain.

Boiled P-nuts. 24-48hrs produces mush, unless you are at 10,000ft.
I hate mushy p-nuts. That is what you get at the cheap gas stations along I-26 on the way to Charleston SC. There is a shop on Calhoon Street in Columbia SC (or was in the 60s any way) that was reputed to be the best boiled p-nuts in SC. They were fantastic! I try to make mine to mimic them. A four hour boil max works for me.
Mmmm Corn bread.
I go light on sugar.
Heat oven to 425F, put iron skillet in oven to pre heat with 1Tbs bacon grease and 1Tbs butter in it.
2 cups corn meal (not self rising)
1Tbs sugar (everyone else in my family likes 2-3Tbs sugar)
1tsp baking soda
1tsp baking powder
1Tbs sour cream (helps keep it moist)
1 large egg
1/4 cup melted butter (most recipes call for corn oil)
1-3/4 cups butter milk or 1-1/2 cups milk
stir to get everything mixed well.
Pour into hot skillet and put back in oven. Bake about 25 minutes.
Optional - cracklins in the pan before pouring mix, jalapino peppers sprinkled on top of the mix in the pan before putting in oven.

I got creative tonight after my fourth harp and decided to create a new martini. 1.5oz Hendricks, 1oz blue curacao, 1/4oz key lime. So much for that, it looked good but tasted like xit so it's back to the drawing board. Maybe I'm just not drunk enough...but the night is young.

1 Felix (in process)
How long can you keep secondfairies rolling, with gradual intake?

Evening all.
Damn! AOL Dial up xux (that doesn't look right) big time.
I'm at my dads in SC.
Last night I hit everything in his cubbord. Started with Tanquarray(sp) and Vodka. The started sampling scotch, burbon and blended whiskey. Southern comfort does truly suck. Dickel #8 isn't too bad, Seagrems 7 is ok, Crown Royal is good.
We went to the Riverbank Zoo today, and I spent the day pushing my dad around in a wheel chair. It was fun, but damn I'm out of shape.
Tonight is HG C1, followed by a burgandy with steak for dinner, and now Saison.
I wont' post any more since this is so slow.
Y'all have a good evening.

How do you mix a "Tanquarray(sp) and gin", and yes SC has to be the most overated and vile liquer on the planet. I've drank out my store of Stoli and a couple-few corona, right now it's a jack&coke with an ounce of vermouth to cut the bourbon... I hate overly sweet drinks. The water is in the freezer, maybe some HG before I fall down.
