And didn't until the sun was up.
Now it's really Sunday.
I've got a big hangover.
And now it's really Sunday in my head.

So isn't anyone going to have a drink?
I mean tomorrow is a work day. I consider that a pretty good reason to drink.

Mar 21 2004, 06:36 PM
Um, yea......
Harpoon Hibernian Ale, was ok
A couple of Dos Equis clones
Couple of Kindl Berliner Weisse, with Elderflower syrup added.
Don't know what's next.

CRS (no not Can't Remember xit, Currant Rasberry Saison) is down. Amazing what 10%abv beer will do to one.
What next? pLambic?
Le Gimp
Mar 21 2004, 06:52 PM
Nope. pLambic still sucks. I will have to force carbonate a couple of bottles.
More Saison. Rasberry Strawberry Saison this time.

Sounds very good. I need to get into brewing beer again. I've never done a lambic, I heard its a bitch to get those bacteria out of your gear when you are done.
I'm trying to decide between an absinthe or a glass of wine. The devil on my shoulder is speaking pretty loudly. The angel is telling me that it won't be just one glass of absinthe.
Oh decisions...

I've got seperate brewing stuf for the pLambic. Still it sucks when it doesn't turn out right. Especailly after waiting five years. And, it is so close.
Sponge Bob
Mar 21 2004, 07:50 PM
Five years? Fuck you've got some patience.
I can't wait five weeks!
No, I guess I'll never do a lambic.
BTW, why the p before lambic?
Masque
Mar 21 2004, 11:34 PM
Cause the Belgian government will sue the living crap out of you unless it is made in Belgium itself, so you add the p for pseudo.
Or something like that.

Last night - homemade blackberry Mead. I finally bottled the rest. Kind of dry, but not bad at all.
I use all the same equipment for brewing, including the Lambics. Critters don't like bleach.

LaConnor Brewery's Belgian Red Ale is my new favorite Lambic...it's a taste clone of the Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus, after more than 1 year of aging, but just slightly better...and it's brewed right here in Western Washington, by a madman who really loves his Belgian ales!

Ah, finally home from the madhouse of my job. It's been a rough weekend as my wife's aged mother has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.
Tonight I plan to take it easy and am milking the last of some LeFee I've been holding for a while. I wish this stuff was cheaper.

I've had to do it a few times myself. Drinking is a good thing, look at some old pictures and remember.

Thanks SB.
For some strange reason, pets tend to like me. All my pets were either saved, or given to me. Even the cat we still have likes me. When I meet my wife whe told me " That is trixie, but she won't have anything to do with you. She doesn't like anyone." Within two minutes she was curled up on my lap.
I figured I better clarify this.
The cat Damn it. Not the wife. That took five minutes and getting rid of the cat.

I love cats too (though I am allergic to them) My last cat died about five years ago. I have a cat that I feed that lives out on our fire escape. I call him Mr. Mojo. He's a black cat with big yellow eyes - very affectionate. I let him in if the weather's bad but he works the other apartments too.
My mother in law is doing OK at present but is bound to deteriorate quickly. The whole family has come together to spend time with her. I do what I can but mostly it's a mater of being there to support my wife and her children.
Thanks for your thoughts - beautiful cats Gimp!

Sorry to hear guys.
My wife lost her father last year, suddenly. It's hard to watch someone deteriorate but it gives you a chance to say goodbye, which my wife didn't have.
A couple years ago we had to put down our cat, he was only 8 and developed brain cancer. He was my wife's best friend and a wonderful companion for us. It was so hard to lose him. Since we've had 2 cats come to us that are now taking care of us, both grey like the one we lost.
All our thoughts are with both of you.

My heart goes out to you guys.
my father in law died this year.
I sat with my father in law while he died
my wife and her sisters couldn't do it.
He saw something, there was something in the room.
I can't explain it but the nurses said they had never experienced a more beautiful death.
It was the saddest day of my life.
He was the best man I ever knew.
My wife and I are very sad.
A month later my dad died.
Sorry for the depressing xit,

I have an ounce each of Perfection and Zepha and I am growing all of it , including an ounce of florence
thats a hellofalotta fennel.
I am not going to make absinthe with it . I am going to make sausage

and give the rest away as seed.

Drinking down the small amounts of everything great in the cabinet. Started with a few bass (in the fridge, not in the cabinet, it don't count). Then a Felix, followed with a MM#25, then a Swizzlé Rouge. Now going with a MM#26. Should be in bed, but shackled to the sober-bitch the next 5 days, so fuck-it.
Speaking of which, this week seemed like one of those "looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetimines" type of weeks, so I'm enjoying a fresh dip of Skoal Long-cut Wintergreen with the above absinthes. But this is my last can....Honest!
