$250 is too rich for my blood, but 10 could cough up $25 ea. and split 2 glasses at LCLF'04.

Anyone want to spearhead the mission? I'll plunk down $25.

If someone will step up to buy the sample, I'll kick in $25 too, but I don't want to be the one to collect the cash.

Maybe if we get enough pledges we could use the same paypal account that was used to collect the cash for the LCLF.

Please, the generous monies so far collected for LCLF are going towards the cost of food and other required sundries for the fest. I would suggest setting up another fund if you would choose to try and obtain one of the pre-ban samples.

Hopefully I will be able to get in on a tasting with Eire or Deluge.......that is if they want me or need a little bit of money to off set the cost...........

The only way it'll work is if enough people going to LCLF pony up the dough. 45ml will only make 2 small glasses. We can divy up the louched absinthe 10 ways, but to give everyone 5ml is ludicrous.

In my experience, w/ vintage and new absinthes, making a glass out of anything less than 30ml tends to have a weaker flavour, e.g. 15ml absinthe w/ 60ml of water doesn't taste the same as 30ml of the same absinthe w/ 120ml water. I've misjudged more than one HG that way, because I was being a cheapskate and trying to save the little I had left.
