I regret to inform at this late hour that "the spark +1" will not be in attendance at Saturday's festival of (man)love. The tax man has cleaned us out so mightily that "the spark" must continue working continuously through the end of next week so that the "spark +1" will have foodstuffs and so that "spark +1" status is maintained chez spark. Could someone please PM with details on how i might later obtain some of the "special" products that will be featured. Id hoped to connect at the fest, but it looks like that ain't in the cards this year. Here wishing a scintilla ignites the evening for you all--

Well, if the guest list is now -2, I could see if my friends from NYC can make it (they're in Seattle this weekend). I introduced them to Fou when they were in Tucson, but one of em went to paris and all he could find was VERSINTHE.
Poor sonofabitch.
The other prefers bourbon, so he won't drink any.

If you go to the New Orleans bar in Pioneer Square and tell the bartender that you're in town for this weekend's absinthe fest, you'll be tonight's celebrity. Tell them I said hi.

I can now confirm that there will be a bottle of Un Emile Gentiane at LCLF. First impression is that it's similar to Foug juice, but somewhat less Fougy, for better or worse depending on your point of view. I willing to trade samples with others who appreciate variety.
I will also bring my last few shots of Segarra.
