What do we mean by the "southeast"?

I realize you folks wwway up north in VA are also considered SE.( and part of the ol' Confederacy too!). However, Ya'll are having the DCLF in ya'lls neck of the woods.

Actually, Da' MAYAH suggested that I use southeast and if ya'll wanted to head this far south, please do.

My favorite stuffed animal, when I was a kid (as opposed to now, when I am very very mature), was named Bear Bear.

My favorite stuffed animal was a Wombat named Zack. "Zack the Wombat." I saw him in a catalog and I cried and cried and cried until I got it. This was the only time I ever did that. I was destined to become the freak that I am today.

Where is Zack now?

I think I threw him away when I was 11 or 12. He was pretty old and grungey by then, plus I thought that I was a bit too old for stuffed animals at that point.

One of my brothers had a different "Zack the Wombat." My brother likes to copy me. His Zack was a much smaller version and it didn't have legs and feet, it was a puppet.

Bear Bear was last provably sighted on September 30, 1977, the day my baby brother Gwydion the Wookie was born.

I think I got Zack when I was 2 or 3 years old. Once when I was about 8 or 9, my Mom took us to "The World of Toys." They had a whole row of Zack the Wombats, and that's where my brother got his.

Zack didn't really look anything like this...he was bright yellow with an orange shirt and a nametag that said "Zack."

I'm not quite sure why, but I'm laughing so hard that I'm crying.

Bright yellow and fuzzy...it really is funny. You should have seen the crazy late seventies nametag (yellow and orange.) I guess the toy maker didn't want you to get confused with "Matt the Wombat?"
