I don't subscribe to any magazines. I can't stand the junk mail they send you.
However, I would actually consider subscribing to:
The Economist
National Geographic
The New Yorker
Scientific American
Nuts and Volts
Not necessarily in that order.

1. Outside (which I never manage to actually read, but it gives me the illusion of having an interesting life.)
2. The New York Times Magazine (read cover-to-cover every week. Equally addicted to crossword and content.
3. The New Yorker (which I don't actually subscribe to, because it is unbearably elitist and pretentious, but my girlfriend makes me read at least one article every week, and they routinely publish work by two of my very favorite writers, Harkuki Murakami and John McPhee.)
I don't have time for anything more than that. Why waste time reading magazines when you could be reading books?

David Denby of the New Yorker has got to be one of the most arrogant film critics that has ever lived. That magazine sucks except for the occaisional story a fiction writer may publish.
I think Harpers is a good magazine, and I usually read the NY Times magazine as well, although I read it online cuz it's free.

When I made my recent move, I found that I had gotten way overboard with magazines, culling out what I wanted to keep was a painfull process.
I ended up keep a fraction of what I had accumulated, getting rid of guitar, record, and music magazines, and lord know what else I had boxed up and never looked at again.
