A cooker I know of tried to replicate Butty's #2. He beat it, after what I tasted at LCLF. Beat it by a mile. That #2 had a star anise crackle across the tounge about 10 seconds after you swallow... kinda distracting.

Fluffy G I agree with ya 100% on that statement. I haven't had much HG, MoonMan, ET 9 and 10, and one of the ADNs but they were all better then the Commercials. Tougher to get though....

I still like the Butty #2, but I wasn't feeling it as much at LCLF. I think it's possible that the batch I had a year ago was of better quality.

The batch at LCLF used a pretty poor distillation technique. The herbs were somewhat overcooked, there was too much tails, etc. A few more months of aging might help. I still liked it, though...probably 'cuz I'm a Fennel Whore. The whole 1-liter bottle was drank that night, so that is saying something. Worth $200? No way!

Who was gonna turn down a chance to drink it without having to spend $200? I am glad I got to try it though.
