My opinion:

Decent Tarantino flick...weak followup to vol.1. It had it's moments, but it was not even in the same league as it's predecessor. It had a very different vibe, was not nearly as brutal, and it kinda dragged it's feet.

Saw it yesterday. I agree that it had a slow start, but I almost think that I liked it better than the first. It was definitely not what I was expecting and I think that was done on purpose.

Saw it last night with Porkio. I liked it better than the first one as well. Afterwards, we stopped at Porky's new pad and guzzled some Nemesinthe #10 (I think) and Swizzle. Yum! Thanks Porky!

Well, just got back from Kill Bill 2. I feel kinda ripped off. The 1st one was soooo much better. For the last 20-40 minutes I kept thinking: "this is so lame." It took a lot of will power for me to not walk out of the theatre. Perhaps I was expecting too much but, no matter how I look at it, it was quite a disappointment.

I loved the 2nd one. Yeah, slow start, but the pacing was much more professional and much less "Tarantino" than the first one. The first one was fun, but a sloppy ass mess, whereas the 2nd was methodical and competent and structured quite well. I think it's a logical place for the movie to end up, as it's all about that scene in the 1st one, where Beatrix forces herself to wiggle her toe through sheer willpower, and in the 2nd one, she wiggles her toes real hard, and overcomes every incredible obstacle in her path. Was it too long? YES. Is every Tarantino movie too long? YES. It's because he likes to watch people act, and so do I, so I didn't really mind it so much...

The credits were a ridiculous farce though. There was like 3 entire reels of very slow credits, just so Quentin could play all his favourite songs.

I saw Vol 2 last night .... thought it was great. However, they could have done some awesome editing and combined the two to make one really kick ass film.
