Louched Liver

Let me be the first (well, the first on here) to raise a toast pour.gif kimouss.gif to your reproductive success!

I'd have gone with Abby Cynthia, myself.
Justin
Thanks for the kind wishes, folks!

It is much appreciated. Perhaps the little ladies will be in attendence at DCLF 06'. I doubt Madelyn would be ready next year.

My wife and baby are still in the hospital (until tomorrow), so my "big girl" of 2 years (tomorrow) and I celebrated this evening. We had soup and cheeseburgers out on the deck. I drank some absinthe and she had water. We watched the bunny rabbits and birds.

She knows how to clink glasses (or glass to sippy cup to be accurate) and say "Cheers".

Yes. Everything seems to be in order and working appropriately. I have both deafness and polydactyly in my family, so the digit count and hearing tests were of particular concern. Good to go so far. Well, that is, until the stubborness on both sides starts manifesting itself.

On the bright side, Madelyn has even beaten her older sister's record for sleeping, which was remarakble. So far, she has slept 6-7 hours through the night her first three nights. We'll see if she can match Lucy's consistency. Our older daughter has only missed about 5 full-night sleeps in 2 entire years. So we are spoiled rotten by how easy she was to raise.

Here's to another good, easy baby!

Congrats to you and your family!

kimouss.gif Cheers to you and your big girl for me (I'm also using a sippy cup tonight). And best wishes to mom and Ruperta!
TrainerAZ
After LCLF, perhaps you should use a sippy cup every night . . . heh heh

Of course, I want the bottle with built-in breathalyzer. Something that gives a warning when I'm approaching blackout and says, "STOP DRINKING! STOP DRINKING! EAT FOOD!"

You know, so I can remember who . . . er, what I did and drank and ate.

I'm still wondering where that Dink.png came from.

Congrats!!!!!! I hope to avoid fatherhood until I am at least married!!!!

yelclap.gif Congrats Justin! Even though your wife did all the work...

Hope the future is bright for your newest family member, at least she has a head start, she's not named Rupert. yelclap.gif

laugher.gif I taught my son to clink when he was 2...

Look who's talking.

I'm only 1 lonely bananna.
Absinthe_1900
The oldman taught me how to fix drinks as a little kid, so he didn't have to get out of his recliner.
Louched Liver
Mine drank after work, at 8am, at bars,
then came home to smoke and set his
chair on fire w/his cigarettes.
I was @ school, if I was lucky.

I remember watching my friend's daughter learning to read from a whiskey bottle.
"Sound it out," he would say.
Now she's 12 and she makes a mean martini.
G&C
Congrats, Justin!

I remember it like yesterday, my now 15 year old daughter could sit in the palm of my hand....
DGLeadbetter
Dude, there are WAY too many bad jokes there.

Pass ....

DG
G&C
You're not the first.

I keep settin' them up and everone passes.
Hiram
If you weren't my pal, I'd have gone there (with the joke, that is). But then there's a fair chance that someday I'll meet your daughter and I don't want you hovering over me with a ball bat.

Justin, it's been a long time since I felt anything but grateful that my kids are both grown and married, but this just brought up some really disgustingly tender memories of daddy-hood. (don't go there, Trainer)

Congrats!
Masque
Some jokes are just too good to take. You just want to savor the possibilities.. ah xit, here he comes with the bat.
TrainerAZ
>innocent look< go where??

So, I guess Mommy and Baby are home now?
musicgeek
Congrats Justin. Two daughters??? Good luck...you'll need it.
Louched Liver
And keep the seat down, bitch.

We hope you avoid fatherhood, period.

Oh, and I'm interested in the "at least" -- what kind of superlative of marriage did you have in mind 1poke.gif?

I'm sure many *would* have said the same about me, but those wishes come too late DG.gif.

Congratualations!!!

Yeah man. Congrats on the kiddo thing. Set the altimeter high until she gets her class D license. (just a little parachute talk thrown in for good measure)

Congratulations, Dad!

Rupert... aka Madelyn
CelticGent
i am jealous of her abundance of hair.
Justin
She has a bigger brain too.
CelticGent
i would hope, for her sake.
lambchop
Wow!
Look at all that hair!

She's little.
Is her big sister happy?
CelticGent
babies are like little, small, people.. aren't they?
Justin
Her older sister is sort of ambivalent so far. She knows who the baby is, and has a connection between the baby and the name. There have been a few cute moments of her kissing the baby and such, but not many.

Mostly, I think she is waiting for Madelyn to be able to do something besides have a stupid expression, look for boobies, drink, cry and poop.

Hmm... that pretty much described the lounge, didn't it?
A.B. Normal
Yes, I think you've hit the nail on the head.

And by the way, she's a cutie, that one.

huh?

(and please dumb it down so i know what you are talking about)

Most definitely her father's daughter.

If that depresses your wife (esp. now): it appears evolution always makes human kids look like their (biological) father at birth, just to make evading responsibilities harder, but she'll grow up to look like her mother, too.

Congrats.

No need to tell CG -- I already PMed him.

And Justin wondered why CeeGee always seems to stop by his house when he's jumping out of planes. It's Justin that you need to explain things to.
DaRabbit
Congratulations man! She's a cutie.
