Some hate it, some like it, others love it.
Honestly, La Fee was my favorite Absinthe 'cause of the secondaries and such.
Well, I haven't had La Fee in over 9 months now. (Wonder why...?)
I do have an empty bottle though sitting in front of me and I'm reading "A spirit distilled with wormwood and other aromatic herbs..."
Once again...
Is this considered an oil mix because of the coloring process or are they being deceptive in their product???

I believe it's a mix but I love the taste of La Fee. I have only experienced secondaries from Staroplzenecky.

I personally liked (never quite loved) La Fee, but to me it always seemed like an obvious oil mix, despite the claims otherwise on the label. It's lacking in the taste and texture you find in a quality distilled absinthe, and that color just screams "ALIEN BLOOD"! It's an example of one of the better oil mixes, definitely, and it does have a pleasant minty quality to it....

La Fee is one of my all time favorites .... I tried to buy a case od it, but eabsinthe will only send out 2 bottles to the US per address at a time. I guess it would be kinda obvious.
Ah for the day when the stuff is at the local liquor store ....

And that's the only way I'd drink that crap.
Liquid Vaseline, texturally.

I like it a lot too, and I rank it in my top 3 (of unfortunately 6 total), and rank it above UE Blanche. I used to rank Blanche higher, but it seems to keep slipping. To me, it seems too (pure? simple? basic? perfect?) boring for my tastes. Go figure, as most people rank it their fav of the UE's.
Le Fee is a good one because, despite, or perhaps because it is an oil mix, it has a different overall character then the others I have tried. Also, the mintiness is pleasant, and though I know and understand it is VERY artificially colored, I like that neon green. As much as I love and respect the UE's, I just have this nagging belief (totally personal) that absinthe should be green; not clear, or that kind of pale yellow/green the UE's are. It also louches better (again, I realize it is artificial).
The scent on the Le Fee is inferior to the UE's by far, but isn't overtly bad.
And then there is Le Fee's infamous secondfairies. Hands down, the best, longest, and easiest I have gotten off of any absinthe. 2 glasses, and I am feeling it. It takes 4-5 glasses of UE 2-3 nights in a row to give the same feeling.
Problem is, UE has a better, more varied deal, so I buy it all the time, and Le Fee very rarely. 2 bottles of Le Fee (at 15 bucks more a bottle), or 3 DIFFERENT kinds of UE, for less per bottle, 2 of which rank 1 and 2 on my list? easy call.

Last time I looked, Feeverte had it as distilled.

I'm not so concerned about the process as the end product, I would dare say that La Fee is my favorite absinthe to date. It has the perfect mix of thickness and bite that everything else that I have tried seems to lack. I love Emile as much as the next person but it is a bit thin even in sapin form.

La Fee was the first absinthe I ever tried, and I still profess a fondness for it. It's no longer my favorite (although the eAbsinthe website quotes me as saying so.. well, that was then)
Okay, this may be a stretch, but the other night when I was having a glass of the "new improved" Kubler 57, it reminded me of something.. La Fee. I'll have to go back and perform a reality check on that one, but it surprised me.

Careful you a starting to sound like me!
I personally keep going back to La Fee for it's refreshing taste and great secondfairies!!!

I have yet to try many Absinthes, but La Fee is very nice. I've got a quarter of a bottle left I'm hanging on to so I can try it again later on.

Secondfaries are stronger for me with the UE's than with La Fee. I dunno why. Everyone seems the say the opposite.

I get secondaries from everything I try. Even a half ounce shot 4:1 will do it. The only Absinthe I ever drank that didn't give me good secondaries was Absinthe Original, and I couldn't bring myself to drink the half glass I had mixed.
I've gotten to the point where I like every Absinthe without the sugar. La Fee in particular seems sweet even though they say it has no sugar in it.

Thanks LL. I'm trying,

!
It was my 1st absinthe, and the one that I most anticipated for sure. Also, when I got the bottle, I made sure to go 'all out ritual'; mood music, cool lighting, candles, a bit of incense, and 3 of my favorite friends. I think that that alone has a big part in why I still associate Le Fee with good things.
With all the new UE's coming out today (I am sure most of you got that e-mail about THREE new ones), my buying for the near future will likely be with LdF, but I foresee a Le Fee 2-bottle purchase in January. I've been out for a couple months, and I miss it.

Lucky bastard. I almost NEVER get secondaries. Perhaps it has to do with my daily consumption of absinthe... then again, maybe I no longer know what a secondary is.

Usually just the right amount.

That's weird DS. I usually get them stronger when I drink it consecutive days in a row. It seems to 'build up'(?) in me.

How about every day, for months and months and months?

I probably DON'T drink absinthe 1-2 nights a week. Otherwise, I am a fairly regular imbiber. A common night for me is 1-3 glasses. If I go more then 2 days without drinking any, the UE has little effect on me.
