I've found that I often end up carrying on conversations via PM, when regular private messages (either AIM or Yahoo or something) would be far faster, and save Da Mayor on server space and bandwidth.

If anyone wants to use those instead, I'm TrainerAZ on AIM, or trainerazus on yahoo.
