The web site sounds rather convincing. It could be acceptable!

I think Chrysippvs, brought a sample to a 2002 absinthe tasting we had in the Archer Ale Hopuse, in Bellingham, in July, 2002.

Unfortunately, there were 18 others, so I don't remember if it was any good.

The absinthe is a Sebor clone (but a little more lemony). Not bad, but not really worth seeking out.

The spoon is a little misguided - too large, and too thick and heavy, and the silver plating tends to flake.

I'll wait until someone clones Hills.

Then I'll run for the hills.

They could reproduce that Reed & Barton spoon, I'd buy a copy.........

No, Hellboy is a clone of vintage Swedish absinthe. Vintage 2002 that is.

I think the original name of that absinthe was "Hellbork Borky Gerty Stranden Borksinthe".

Gert strand would be an improvement over a couple of brands I've tried. Not really absinthe but worse stuff tries to pass.

Gert Strand really isn't that bad, compared to some other commercial brands. I think I'd drink it over Deva or Fou.

Really? Over Fougerolles? I had a glass last night, and I thought it was decent quality, though I think the separate distillation method doesn't allow the tails to ever become concentrated enough to reallly thicken up the flavour.

Gertz makes you Trip Balz™. Fou doesn't

True. One glass of Fou gave me a headache after I drank it, though it tasted good.

There's alot of Wormwood in that Gertz, and you can choose your own base alcohol.

I've never Tripped Balz™. Dammit.

Gert Strand will not make you trip balz whatsoever. I tried it quite a while ago, actually still have some, and it's horribly bitter, and doesn't even give you a mild absinthe buzz, nothing what soever, other than regular good old vodka drunk.
