Any good together? And what is it like?


Is the whole caffiene + alcohol thing true? Someone mentioned to me that caffiene makes getting drunk faster.

I'm just curious so I'll know what to expect, and won't end up trashed out of my mind.

Oh, and I personally wouldn't drink absinthe with coffee, so don't yell at me. Yell at my friend for wanting to try it. I'll pass on all the insults.

I prefer to drink a shot of Fou (half water) and chase it with a cup of coffee.

alcohol and anythig else, including absinthe, drunken in quantity, not including poisons, results in alcohol intoxication. what's great about Filterated Czeckerland Xit is the imagination. how are you drunken mf's anyway?

I like to chew on coffee beans and chase it with absinthe that you can't get, makes me trip ballz and listen to death metal.

Some Absinthe goes better in coffee than others. But I like every one I have tried in it so far. Even Segara.

So far I've tried Fou, Segara, La Fee', UE68, and a bunch of HG in coffee. The only one I didn't like in coffee was a GinSynthe. Juniper and coffee just don't do it.

Coffee + absinthe = , IMHO. Only tried it with La Fee, and that was so disgusting that I wouldn't do it with any decent absinthe.

A crapsinthe, perhaps, but only to prevent it from eating away the drain when giving it the treatment.

I'm drinking some pistachio ice cream flavored coffee that I got from an from the Land of Bogs bakery just down the street from the house. This stuff is good. It don't need no absinthe in it. The only thing that I would put in coffee besides cream and sugar would be some amoretto. I think that would be pretty good. I haven't tried it yet. Maybe some bailey's or some kaluha also. I like my coffee nice and smooth and creamy. I'll have to try these and have my puppet, er, I mean me, report back.

My favorite,as stated before; is Versinthe LaBlanche and coffee---Kaffee Versinthe!

My only stab at mixing absinthe with anything other than iced sugar water was an attempted "Death in the Afternoon" with Mumms Blanc de Noirs (Napa) and Un Emile Gentiane. I will not be trying that again.

No. I usually just use coffee as an excuse to drink cream and sugar. That's what I really like.

My favorite coffee beverage is my own, slippery nipple latte's.
Steamed milk, 4 shots of espresso, 2 shots of Baily's, and a shot of butterscotch schnapps, in a big coffee mug. MMMMMMMMM

I tried Fou with coffee this weekend and thought it was very lovely.

I've made a sazerac, and that was alright, but I won't be making it again.

That's a buttery nipple. Slippery Nipples are Sambucca and Baileys... so adding absinthe to the buttershots, Bailey's, and coffee would "taste" like a slippery.

I'm a big fan of overly sweet absinthe used in cappucino (ie. Peepucino).

Know what I take in my coffee—dark roast to be exact? Four fucking shots of espresso. It's called a Powerhouse at my local (non-corporate behemoth) coffee shop. While I'm at it I'll drop two bits into the vending machine and nervously munch on the 7-8 chocolate covered espresso beans that tumble out.

Haven't tried adding any absinthe to that morning mix yet...perhaps I will conduct a little experiment and post my findings.

My bottle of XO is getting mighty empty as of late. My mom brought it back from the distillery in France when she visited last year, and I feel guilty about drinking it every time I pour a sniffter.

I don't mix anything in my cup of coffee... I have a big ol' cup when I come in from work each morning... I like my coffee the OPPOSITE of how I like my women...
