At long last, I have begun my last week of being a New Yorker and my last week of being desk-jockey extraordinaire.

In keeping with my theory that Real Life is more important than the Fucking Internet, this means that I will now join the sheepprofessor in relative retirement from the Lounge.

It’s been a wild ride, kids. You’ve made life as a cubicle shut-in bearable. It has been a pleasure to know you and a surprise that many of you have become Real Life friends as well.

I will no longer be moderating, as any visits here will be short and I will no longer have time to read every post, as a dedicated moderator must. You’re in good hands with Jack and Abby. I would humbly request that I be retired into the company of my favorite Loungers and be put out to pasture as an Icon. If one of you three stooges can get around to affecting that change, I’d be grateful.
