For some reason, I decided
to keep some empties.
So, I corralled 26 of them into a
garbage bag and thought,
"what would I get for these on
e-Bay?"
Does anyone actually
buy empty absinthe bottles?
I know they're listed, but is
anyone buying?

I've seen empty bottles for sale. Usually overhyped and overpriced. I guess it all depends on what the buyer is willing to pay.
I'm sure +-$10/bottle is probably a "fair" amount. at least IMO

Put them up for $5.00 each and see what happens. As long as you don't misrepresent them (empty, not vintage) then I don't see why anyone would have a problem with it. If someone is stupid enough to buy them (probably to impress their friends), then it's on them. I have seen them sell...not for much, but more than you'd get from dumping them in the trash.

But is it worth dealing with assholes, then packing it up and shipping it off for $5.00 a piece?
Kinda like sending out samples.

With 26 bottles, it could be worth it. You never know. Some might go for more than the $5.00 starting bid. Also, you can add shipping and material costs to the final price. You could also sell them off in lots (say, 5 per lot) for a higher price. I've considered doing it myself. If it gets you enough for a bottle of Jade- the only REAL Burnt™ absinthe, then I'd say it would be worthwhile.
After all, I deal with assholes here for free every day.
