In the other thread a writer in the Witchita Eagle says that absinthe has the worst hangovers of all drinks.
Is this your experience?
Not mine - I've never had an absinthe hangover, but I feel I could if I forgot to drink water before going to sleep after an absinthe event - that's my hangover-prevention cure.
I'm also more liekly to get hungover from sweet drinks - those with more sugar than the 5-gram cube I use per serving.

It's Wichita, not Witchita. I've never seen any Witches there, but have seen a couple of Which's, so maybe they should change it to Whichita. And no, he doesn't know what he is talking about, even if there was truth in what he said.
That being said, I've been hung-over with everything I've drank, ever, unless I didn't drink enough to get drunk, which is just stupid. Different drinks cause different hangovers, and absinthe is a nice sleep-all-day no-headache but possibly still a little drunk 48 hours later hangover when drunk in large quantities by me. Personally can function better with a beer-bender, but the headache sucks. Not as nice as a baby calf will, though. Now I can see who all read this to the end.

You're trying to prove that some things cause hangovers more efficiently than alcohol, right?

I've always had my worst hangovers from something with anise in it. That's in an entirely different league than anything else.
That had mostly been pastis or ouzo, however. If I washed down shitloads of absinthe the same way I've washed down shitloads of crappy ouzo - well, the results would probably be equally disastrous, but the experience before that a great deal more pleasant.
I tend, however, to drink absinthe slower. Not just washing it down; price and taste being the reasons.

It's possible that the Ouzo and Pastis that you are drinking contain a dirty base alcohol and it's just coincidence that they both contain Anise. Or you could be allergic to Anise. In that case, please stop drinking it and turn your supply over to Hartsmear.

I had a two-day hangover from LCLF . . . but no hangovers from LF05.
I've only rarely had hangovers from absinthe, but when I break the golden rule ("Never mix, never worry"), and drink other liquor after absinthe . . . OW. YUCK.
I didn't have any hangovers from LF05 either.

I missed those pills, but had the jumbo bottle of Ibuprofen I was handing out to interested parties. Three of those and a big cup of water also does wonders.
