not that any of it means much.

We still need to import you people for the All Souls' Procession/Day of the Dead here, the day after Halloween. We need that giant Butty puppet, dammit!

I have been hunched in front of the computer (weather.com) and TV (weather channel) for the past five days.
Lost communication with my Mom (in Edgewater, FL) on Saturday evening, and just got a call from her five minutes ago. My Mom, brother, aunt & uncle, and cousin are fine. I am so relieved that the tears won't stop. My Mom went to bunk with my aunt on Friday night because my aunt's home was more structurally sound. Just found out that my aunt sustained the most damage. The roof caved in over the living room, and is getting ready to cave in over the kitchen. Lots of flooding damage too (she is right on the Indian River). My Mom only lost two screens on her porch!!!!!
I hope Peep's is OK - it's heading right for her.....

Hee! I've taken down bigger ones, Cros. No need to worry about me.
This morning it looked like Frances would be a hurricane when it hit my digs. The Mayor was jealous and pouty that I got to be in a hurricane and he didn't. Gaddam stimulus junkie.

I'm fine. It will be a tropical storm when it gets here, which will probably be in the next several hours. I get tomorrow off, too, due to the general alarm, to which I'm not subscribing, but of which I am still reaping the benefits.
I'm relieved to hear that the family is safe, Glassy. I hope you're recovering from the tension.

No not yet,
though for her, stressing out is as common as blinking.

I'm helping her keep her mind otherwise distracted.
