I'm always a year behind in movies.
I pay enough money to have 30 movie channels that I don't see the point in going to the theater. I think I've only seen 3 or 4 films since 2001 ouside of my living room.

Napoleon Dynamite unravels like Gummo. But I think it's incapable of producing the revulsion that Gummo did. My 2 cents.

"Why do you love me?
Why do you need me?
Always and forever
We met in a chat room
Where love can fully bloom
Sure the World Wide Web is great
But you, you make me "salvavate"
Yes I love technology
But not as much as you, you see
But I still love technology
Always and forever
Our love is like a flock of doves
Flying up to heav'n above
Always and forever
Always and forever
Yes, your love is truly great
Always and forever
Why do you need me?
Why do you love me? "

You do.
Just for the record: Argentine tango is better than absinthe and your doctor won't disapprove. It's also a lot cheaper, and abstinence comes easily after you've been punished for attempting to combine the two.

I dunno.
I've never been very good at letting someone else lead.
I'm much less of a control freak when I've had a few.
sixela
Nov 16 2004, 08:20 AM
That's probably because they were poor (or easily impressionable) leaders. Failure to follow is frequently due to a lack of trust (usually quite justified).
As a follower, you have to be just as alert. Argentine tango has 2 fourths rhythm and absolutely no set steps or sequences that are absolutely cast in stones -- absolutely everything should be lead. Nothing may be assumed. So: drinking is BAD while you want to dance Argentine tango.
BTW, eventually, the most stubborn followers become the best ones. A leader can't communicate effectively if he doesn't meet resistance, and control freak followers have a very healthy tendency to avoid making up for the shortcomings of their leaders -- which is GOOD.
After some time, they also develop a different kind of control - influence. Which is good, because a dance has to be a conversation and not a monologue.
