Has anyone heard the Alessandro Moreschi recordings? I'm curious about the work of the last castrato, but if it's going to be all scratchy and fooked-up-sounding, I'm not sure I want to throw down for a disk.

I'd like to hear it as well. I just checked out some reviews for an album of his over at Amazon. It got very good reviews (4.5 stars, based on 10 reviews). The whole castrato thing is quite intriguing. I've been wanting to see the film Farinelli for a while now. I may have to bump it up on my Netflix list...
