I did hear that Tom Hanks (DS) might get the lead roll in the movie. I thought Russell Crowe got the part but I guess there's been some changes.

I just finished it. I found it quite enjoyable. Eco gives his reader more credit, but the Da Vinci Code has perty pictures.

It was a fun read, but I'm somewhat bothered by stories about elaborate schemes that for their success require several random events to happen just right.
I recorded it... did it mention how Harrison Ford would make a better lead than Tom Hanks?

No, that would have been interesting.
As for what was discussed once (blood-line, female disciples, etc..) It was touched on, but lightly. N.G. did something on Absinthe (I missed it) that was panned about these parts, so this show....

I covered the absinthe part.
There where some good bits to the show, just not investigated deeply enough to be worthwhile.
