Yeah I know this is like 6 days late but I missed it earlier when I took a couple of days off from the Lounge(bad mistake). Then I had a whole lot of catch-up reading to do and I skipped some. Dammit. Sorry Slate.

Hope you had a great Bday over there in the southern stretches of Asia somewhere. If you're still over there. I thought you said you'd be coming back in mid-Dec. Hope you get back soon.

I'm unearthing this thread weeks after the fact. I'm tickled. Thanks to all who wrote in.

I've been on a gig in Shanghai since September. The gig itself was a ballbuster. Shanghai is an interesting place.

The night before my barfday, I was abducted by co-workers and taken to a trendy dance club. There, I was encouraged to get bombed on Litchee martinis and shake my groove thing. I'm 53 this year, so you can well imagine what a chilling sight that was. I give myself high marks for having entered into the spirit of the thing.

I am happy -- make that very happy -- to be home, home, home. Nice to see all o' youse!
