Why is it that either you pay almost twice as much for your shipping as you do for your order for Priority, or pay a reasonable amount of S/H for Econ, but your order is put on the slow boat to China? 9 weeks?!?! Has anyone actually done the 9-week thang w/FSC?
Well, at least they warn 9 weeks now.
Once and only once I ordered from them, and got Econ shipping. (The priority would have added about $75 to my order.)
It took almost 3 months for it to arrive. It did eventually arrive with no broken bottles or anything like that.
But that was the last time I'll ever order from them. They don't really carry anything I want anyway. I was sort of intrigued by the Sergarra gin, but not intrigued enough to pay like $50 / 750ml bottle, and then wait 3 months to get it.
Patience is a virtue, yadda yadda yadda, but waiting that long is not virtuous, it's just plain stupid / ridiculous / crazy.

I seem to recall using economy once, several years ago; and it took 4-6wks. In their defense (yes, I'll take that free bottle for the endorsement,hint 
) they have shown good customer service to me the one time I had a customs problem.

Same here . . . and the last time I ordered from SC, I ordered Economy and it came in two weeks.
I did an economy order. It took like 6 weeks. But I have the patience and I didn't feel like splurging the money on fast shipping for the stuff I ordered from them. It was more to satisfy my curiousity on a few brands than any expectation of greatness. The better the booze, the faster I want it.
That's what I was thinking. I have 6 bottles en route from Markus (things I really wanted quickly), but the stuff I was interested in @ FSC—much like in your situation—was more to satisfy my curiosity. Waiting 4–9 weeks probably won't be so bad.
