Small press literary journals get some needed coverage in the Times.

If the journals are not published by major transnational infotainment conglomerates, how can they be literary?

So . . . are those things at LiveJournal ILLITERARY Journals?

Literary journals are the opposite of mass media infotainment. They are where the language of our culture lives as well as the creative thought, even in our relatively illiterate country. Most are not that exciting and many are a bore. Still it was nice to see my own journal (and its editor) mentioned in the Times.

Now I get it.

A Literary Giant

I used to read literary journals.....

But then I was labeled as a Blue State elitist and intellectual snob.

Oh wait....I am.

Um, no.

Living in a red state gives me the blues.

I work for Thomson/Gale. We represent all that they oppose, quite frankly. We tend to be one of those 'swallowers' (yes, I said we swallow).

We have bought virtually every reference publisher on Earth in the last 50 years.

I once tried some Beef Bourgeois but it made me sick. That's the last time I'm goin' to one of them foreign restaurants.
