i had the copy when it first came out, it was the first time i read about absinthe, and promptly forgot about it in favor of the centerfold of the lunchbox with the fine buds in it...

i suppose you saw the article about absinthe in that issue?
actually pretty well done, considering the time period.
the writer is actually a HST lite, and now works freelance for the LA times, but no one will admit knowing him or how to get in touch with him.
