New gadget allows alcohol to be inhaled
http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_84110...u=news.quirkies

The inventor of a gadget that enables people to inhale alcohol through their nose or mouth claim it doesn't cause hangovers.

Dominic Simler, 30, discovered that by mixing spirits with pure oxygen, a cloudy alcohol vapour can be created which can be either snorted or inhaled.

He is marketing it as AWOL, or Alcohol With Out Liquid, and says it can be used to consume any spirit.

Mr Simler said: "AWOL has got to be the ultimate way to consume your favourite shot. The effect is unlike any experience to date. The vapour produces an instant 'high' with no hangover the next day."

The spirit is poured into a special diffuser capsule which is then plugged into an oxygen generator.

Once inhaled, the alcoholic gas goes straight into the bloodstream to give an instant 'hit'

great, score one for the consuming alcohol via the "mouth breathing technique"

No doubt with imported "Suisse Oxyjen Tancs" that are specially imported by her at "tremendous expense" to make your absinthe-snorting more authentic. NONO.gif

What, what about the fact that you'll get no THUJONE!!!-this stuff has nothing to do w/the buzz from absinthe, NOTHING!!!!-this stuff has nothing to do w/the buzz from absinthe, NOTHING! or 2ndfairies??

Screw that! I'll stick to lighting mine on fire!

Hmm, anyone who has a medical mister/atomiser can do this...

Its not done with PURE Oxygen, but I doubt that has alot to do with anything other than makign you feel high all quick like. I have a small unit that you hook a hose and facemask upto, you have a small blub which you usually put abuterol sulfate into and then wear a mark or use a mouthtube. It makes a superfine mist thay you can inhale. It doesnt heat it like a vaporiser, more like an ultrasonic humidifer.

Interesting idea, but I bet it will cost 5X the amount it actually costs to make. The Oxy tanks for it will be special or something. Can you say YUPPIE TOY?

Way more information than I wanted, personally, although your candor is commendable.

Louched Liver
I pour a shot of absinthe in the divot in the top
of one of my range's burners.
Turn the fucker to high.
And use a hunk of rusty pipe to sweep up the fairy fumes.
Not only do I trip Ballz.
I usually die.

I am all for the advancement of tech, but what happened to drinking it?
Porkio
I'm only going to buy it if it uses nitrous oxide instead of straight oxygen.

Maybe we could convince the ABG crowd that using it with CO2 for several minutes in a row is the ultimate high...

Good point! There are car exhaust pipes everywhere, with fumes just awaiting human consumption.

To add another option, why bother buying even Czeckerland absinthe, when propane canisters from Home Depot are dirt cheap and full of brain cell-destroying inhalables.

Looking for huffing emoticon.

That should be linked to how to survive this sculch
