Oh, waitaminute… I haven’t.
You know how real life calls you up every now and then and you can’t put that call on hold?
Yup.
That’s what caught up with me.
I have no idea what’s been going on in here although I’ve heard of LF05 and as you’re all aware of, I must have my excuse ready… so here it goes.
Most likely I’ll be in Chicago that weekend.

… although, in my life, it seems like things change from day to day.
What’s been keeping me away from here are some personal matters that have all but consumed my free time. Aside from the work thing and the raising a 3 year old thing and the house that’s falling apart thing… well…
Oh, and I almost forgot the ‘swimming to the bottom’ thing…
You know, where you think you’ve lost control of the world and you spend nights on end in a drunken state hoping that you’ll find your answers at the bottom of each glass…
Yeah, that thing.
So, I must say that my weekdays have pretty much kept me real busy with work and any time I get for myself is spent with my 3 year old girl.
She sure is a little cyclone and just about all I have left in me has been put towards her needs at this point. Parenting seems to get more intense as the years go on…
Everyday I’m made more aware of how I have walk the straight and narrow in order to give her the best life she can have.
I know, crazy stuff… where’s the booze, right?!
I’ve also had this rash… (ha!)… no not that kind… but this rash of extended family tragedies and problems to deal with. From immediate to extended, so far this year has been one of loss.
You know, deaths and that kind of stuff.
Nothing real close but it seems like the circle is tightening!
Anyway, I miss some conversations here and I do have to let one person in particular know that the package I promised is coming, it’s just that I haven’t been able to get to the place I need to go to in order to get what I gotta get to send out.
Right.
So… it is still on my ‘To do list’…
What else…. um…
Oh, yeah… the crumbly house. After 3 years of neglect, due in part to my ‘alter-life’, I’ve seen (with a sober eye) all the work that needs to be done to my house. Painting, repairing… that sort of stuff and man, is it a lot of work.
So there’s another thing that’s kept me busy and my wallet empty!
For awhile I was working on this children’s book and some illustrations but I’ve had to put that all aside now because of these reasons…
Did I mention that real life sucks sometimes???
So…
Oh, here’s something that sucks as well… how the hell did I gain 20 pounds in a year?!
Aaaahhhh!!!
I have tried this new Whiskey called Phillips Union and it’s not bad. It’s a mixture of Bourbon and Hoser Whiskey. It’s rather smooth and there’s a lot of vanilla tones while smoking a cigar. It’s pretty cheap so if that sounds like your kind of thing… you might like it a bit.
I guess that’s it for now… that’s what’s been keeping me busy and away from this place.
