Rimbaud
Alrighty, since Digits isn't around, I'm gonna take this thang into my own pale white fists.

I want to put together a mix CD of music for LoucheFest '05. I'd like everyone who plans on attending and gives a flying xite to list one song (correct title and artist, please) and I will do my best to locate it and include it on the CD. Only one song each, so make it a good one. Lars, you can even pick a Rush song if you want. I'll just leave the room when it comes on.

If you change your mind, please edit your original post, don't post a second time.

Fire away!

Scatt Brothers - Walk the night

(this song is a must!)
Rimbaud
That's gonna be difficult, but I'll do my best to find it. You may have to send me an MP3 if worst comes to worst.
Off. Jack Batemaster
I think I have it on another machine...if not, I have it on vinyl - but I couldn't find it during LCLF. I really need to get my vinyl more organized. I found more boxes in the garage the other day, in fact.

On a cuz, I only have so much time to work on this. 30 or more people with one song each will end up being 2 CDs worth of tunes.

It's not like I have a CD burner at work.

Sheesh!

That's cause I'm pissed that they sampled my voice without permission.

I'm just waiting for my boss to leave the office on an errand so I can turn up the volume and slack off more openly.
greeneyes
Had to wait to listen at the office, impatient bear.
Rimbaud
No speakers on work computer, Mr. Squeegee.
greeneyes
Don't sweat it, Rims.
It's actually so incredibly fooking hideous
that I had to pause it and disconnect file moochers
from my shared media library so I could hear the end.
I thought there would be a point at which it got good.
Nope.
CeeGee, you bastidge!
CelticGent
aw, cmon, when he starts to 'sing'?

amazing
A.B. Normal
You owe me four minutes and 27 seconds.
Rimbaud
So far, I've gotten a total of 2 song titles from folks who are actually attending LF05.

Piss poor, fuckers. Piss poor.

Get on the ball and post yer crummy song so I can get this thing into production.

C'mon Cros, which Doors song is it going to be? I got 'em all...
A.B. Normal
Grate.
Another night of him running around drunk saying, "I am der lizard King."

If you find Scatt Brothers - Walk the night, I just may show the uck fup!
Rimbaud
If that's the truth, I'll definitely find it.
Off. Jack Batemaster
I double dare you to find it.
Rimbaud
According to AllMusicGuide, it's to be found on the Skatt Bros. album "Strange Spirits", released on Casablanca Records in 1979.
Off. Jack Batemaster
Yes. I have that album.

A remix single was done in the 80's in Kanadia by "The Bent Boys." It is not as good as the original.
TheGreenOne
It's also available on the 4 disk set The Casablanca Records Story. Available here
TheGreenOne
Maybe Jack won't be quite so busy that weekend.
Off. Jack Batemaster
Fuck it. You should just buy that for LF05!
Rimbaud
Keyboardist Sean Delaney used to co-write songs for KISS in the 70's, who were labelmates of the Skatt Bros.

Just found a vinyl copy on a German site for 4 Euros.

Get your plane ticket, JB.
Rimbaud
No KISS on that Casablanca box?????

Are they NUTS?!?!
Rimbaud

Real busy, Rimbo....

Can- Halleluwah

Or any other Krautrock will be acceptable.

Failing that, I would like to hear track 2 from Terry Riley's A Rainbow in Curved Air. Just Intonation rocks!!!

I can send either one to you, Rimmy

Forgive me for being the first to post a serious response, but I do like some booze with my booze.

I meant music.

Don't worry, I have that Can ditty on CD.

Leave it up to the Gullet to pick a 18 1/2 minute song.

I also have 3 other Can albums, all 3 Neu! albums, Faust IV, Amon Duul II's Wolf City, etc.
