Can you fix the thing that shows the stuff you've read already? I read stuff and then it still shows the stuff as unread and then new stuff that is posted doesn't show up as unread. This is really weird. I hafta like pay the uck fattention to the names that show up as the last poster in the thread cause when they change then I know I gotta go back in to read the new xit. It's really hard to pay that much the uck fattention.
Louchelooker
See! Now it just showed what I wrote as unread. I know it's unread I just wrote it. I don't have to go back and read the stuff that I just wrote if I wrote it. I know what I said. Wait what did I just say? Anyway, that xit is really kinda annoying.
Rimbaud
I concur.

That "feature" didn't work right with the old software, neither. Yes, I've been on their ass about it.

BTW - Support has just told me, once again, that they've fixed all of our reported issues. I wasn't able to verify any of the fixes. Nothing was fixed, it appears.

I just switched windows to another site, and then came back.

I did not have to log in again.

Same thing happened to me last night, I switched over to FV without closing the window and then back, and didn't have to log back in. But later on, when opening a new browser, I had to log back in.

It would appear that the cookie is not persistent once the browser window is closed.

Session issue appears to be resolved. Mark all posts as Fred seems to be resolved. Attached images and clicking on thumbnail seems to be resolved. The only thing that isn't working is the multiple quote thing and I don't really care about that. Does anyone else?

If you change "all" to "none" then its correct. So they're only one word off. fish.sml
greeneyes
The multiple quote thing is cool, but not essential. It's good to see my posts as Fred again. That was a pissnugget.

Seems fine to me.post-6-1069831687.gif
A.B. Normal
I'm just thrilled about the Mark All Posts as Fred thing.
I really don't like having to watch total post numbers or time stamps.
It takes all my brain power just to remain upright.

Kudos, Jack.
A.B. Normal
Oh, and "Welcome back Djipxit; your last visit was:"

That's beautiful.
Louchelooker
Question. Does the little briefcase with the white stripe in the lower right corner mean those are the threads that you've posted in? (kinda like the dot in the box on the old board) Do you know what I'm talking about? When you post in a thread there used to be a little dot in the box next to the thread to show that you've posted there. Now it is a briefcase and I think the ones that I've posted in have a little white stripe on the lower right corner. Am I right?
Rimbaud
You are insane.
Louchelooker
O.k. but you still didn't answer my question.
CelticGent
the answer is :

D.) all or none of the above.
Louchelooker
Ohhhh...that 'splains it.
TrainerAZ
I thought the answer was Thursday.
Rimbaud
No.
TheGreenOne
CG, I'm not sure about your post, but my response definitely belonged over here.

When he's done working out all the kinks, we'll unmute all the witty comments for posterity.

I though CG preferred it with the kinks.
CelticGent
they are a damn good band.
A.B. Normal
Ok, everything has been muted over in the other thread.

And to answer your question, CG, no I can't.
But duct tape might be helpful.
jaded prol
I've always found that to be true.
Rimbaud
How 'bout a FUCKING STAPLER.
greeneyes
I think I'll explain the muted posts in the Bug List. As Abby said, they still exist and are visible to Jack. But, if Jack can see them, why mute them at all, right?

They show up differently, so when he's working on addressing of all of your niggling complaints, he can esily tell what you'd like him to fix and what can be ignored. Given that Jack's real busy these days, hopefully it will make the process faster.

I just saw a pussified lurker with a mod cock & balz. wacko.gif

My God,
they could be breeding.

I hear them sometimes scratching behind the wainscoting.

Back OT for just a sec here:

This isn't a bug, but what's the deal with the little infrequent pop-up that says, "Who the fuck is <insert Lounger's name>?"
Is it simply a random occurance or is there a pattern to it's arrival, or is it something that is activated by a mod?
greeneyes
Not activated.

Nonrandom, but not patterned.

Call it a feature.

2loucheltrec
i think it's funny as xit... or maybe it's xitty that it's funny....
Off. Jack Batemaster
I actually wrote a quite extensive and complicated algorithm for that "feature."
