Why would this person think these are absinthe spoons? Obviously they have never seen one!

Also our good buddy absinthstar is back on the auction trail again. Evidently he stopped drinking his own foul recipes & bought himself a bottle of Deva.

Well, by saying "absinthe" in the description the bastard is going to get more hits and hopefully (for him/her) more bidding, simple as that.

Quote from auction:
"Has a beautiful louche when water is added and color."

So they add color?
absinthoman
That's the vomit after smelling Hills flaming on their spoons that adds color!!!!!
Grey Boy
Does that add flavor too?

You're right. Those are in fact modern Heroin spoons masquerading as vintage Absinthe spoons. If you look closely, one giveaway detail is you'll notice there are no holes in the spoon, as heroin spoons are specifically designed to keep the heroin from falling through, as opposed to absinthe spoons, which have holes, or "slots" (to use the parlance of our time), which would probably would not hold heroin very well.

The item is one of the more clever fakes I've seen, but if you're familiar with Mare Claude DeLahaye's spoon book, you can easily distinguish between vintage absinthe spoons and modern heroin spoons.
