While channel surfing over the weekend we came across the SNL "Goat Boy" sketch from about 10 years ago.

I've decided that the Goat Boy sketches are the single most unfunny and irritating comedy routine in the entire history of television.

Any other nomination for this dubious title?

Carrot top, hands down. I hate that motherfucker.

It's a tie between Bobac and Gilbert Godfried<sp>.

I can only take them for about 5 minutes before I want to kill someone.

Bobac? Who the hell is Bovac? Godfried? Perhaps that's what God should have done to him.

*ahem* I believe that SHOULD have read:

It's a tie between Bobcat and Gilbert Gottfried.

I gotta stop drinking before I post .... or drink more, perhaps.

Aw man, I love Bobcat Goldthwait. Shakes the clown is some funny shit, as are the police academy movies.

I HATE carrot top though. NOT funny at all. I also find Gallagher to be a poor dumb impersonator of George Carlin. If your idea of comedy is throwing food at a wall, you need a new act.

Favourite comedians in this order:
1) Steven Wright
2) Lenny Bruce
3) Richard Pryor
4) George Carlin
5) Janeane Garafolo

I actually do have a soft spot in my heart for Scott Baio. Mostly because 'Charles in Charge' was spared the constant 10-year cycle of reruns that the other two had in my home market. My only memories of Scott Baio were from when I was still young enough not to have any taste.

I'd give John Belushi a vote, too.

You guys ever seen a British series (it's on BBCAmerica) called "3 Non-Blondes"? Now THAT is the most irritating, stupid "comedy" I've ever seen (altho ANYTHING from the past 10 years of SNL would also rate). bigun2.gif

As far as so-called-comedians, the one I still hate beyond reason is Sam Kinison. What a sick, hateful man! His stand-up rants did nothing except spread hate & anger. That's someone the world is a lot better off without, IMHO!

Whoopie Suck-berg!

What's the big deal with this attitudinal waste of space? I never understood what made her so popular - Media hype no doubt.

Most of the people on your lists were funny at some point, IMO. I think the problem is once they became rich and famous, they lost what made them funny. Famous and wealthy people aren't really that interesting. I'm suprised that most people don't get that.

Bob Saget rules, BTW.

Nolamour, did you ever see the tape of her breakthru Broadway show? She did a 1 woman show back in (I think)early 80's that is still around on VHS; I believe it's called "An Evening With ...". It was this show that got her the ticket to Hollywood.

I agree that most of her conventional work is pointless, but this show had some really unique stuff; there's a section she does about a junky (Fontaine) going to the Anne Frank House, & another where she plays a 5 year old black girl who wears a towel on her head to pretend she has long blonde hair. It is funny yet biting, as the best humor should be.

So, you want to know why she gets work? Rent this tape, & then you'll answer your own question.

I thought Whoopie was VERY talented when she first hit the scene ... then it just seemed like she started skating through her roles .... it was just her and not her interpretation of who she thought the person was.

Now, if I see her, I change the channel.

I agree. This acting ethnic is not in her. she is a white woman trapped. monica_modeling_vogue_md_wht.gif
