A few months back, I drove the SO around to a bunch of yard sales. The last one we stopped at had some nice plants growing in the yard (Artemisia of some sort, and Purple Veronica among others) .

They also had a nice water garden in the NE corner, right under the eve of the house. This was on the north side of the house, so it got little sun and lots of shade. Since it gets rather nippy here in the winter (-10F record, single digits usually for several weeks in January), I asked what they did about the fish. They stated they did nothing, that the fish must have hibernated over the winter because they were alive in the spring.

Kind of weird for such a small body of water.

Well, I'm looking for the best prices on liners, filters, biofalls the whole deal, really. I have the pump, now I just need all the other stuff.
