Wow .... just had my first taste of Felix tonight (The HG ... not the cat.), thanks to a friend.
It's probably the best absinthe I've had to date. LL, you were right, HG rocks. Great, welcome to my NEXT addiction. Anyway, I had two glasses, one at 2.5 to 1, is a little too strong for me, 3:1 is smoooooth like a Mercedes. And for sure, make sure it's ICE cold.
Here's the straight stuff:

I love the Felix as well... I've had to force myself to limit its consumption to one or two times a week, so it lasts. Also marvelous.. Swizzle Rouge.. I may even prefer it to the Felix.. still haven't tried the Swizzle LB, or the Pignon et L'Epee, but I plan to when I can. To the cook:

The Felix is a bit sweeter than his others. If you've got a sweet tooth, use sugar, otherwise you might not need it. I drink it with sugar 'cuz I like candy canes.

I finally sampled the Felix LB and Swizzle Rouge. EXCELLENT. The day I got them I found Cardomman (sp) while X-mas shopping. First time I had smelled it was then (and got a little bit for my education box). A day after drinking a glass of the swizzle and felix I kept smelling them. Realized it was the cardoman sitting on my shelf. After retrying each of them I do think I taste cardomon in each.
The Felix LB is wonderful, very sweet with a lotta flava. The alcohol is very smooth, not near as fruity as Moonie's, but much more flavorful than pure spirits by themselves. I'm not gonna bother with a full review -- I don't have a glass in front of me and won't tonight. BUT IT'S GOOD!
The swizzle is definitely fruity... Still a bit young and think that it's sharp edges will benefit by a month or two of aging. Once again, VERY GOOD!
KUDOS TO EACH!

So... anyone care to PM me about where/how one might sample these concoctions?
Edit: Not including the candy cane.

I think the Felix might have a bit of Cardamom - not alot, though. I don't know about the Swizzle Rouge, I haven't had any in awhile and I don't remember. I'm pretty sure the Swizzle LB doesn't, but if it does - it's not detectable.

Did another sniff-test today, and do smell cardamom in the Felix but think I was confusing another smell in the swizzle. Damned that cardamom is a potent herb, although well balanced in the Felix. Had to remove it from my office, though, as it was too damned much to be smelling it all the time, even with it double-bagged.

I'm cuckoo for cardamom. I don't remember detecting it in the Felix sample a friend was kind enough to share. It sounds like time to stop hoarding my last drink's worth and carpe the old diem.
