GreenOne, I are you familiar with the area of the exhibit? I tried a search for nearby hotels but couldn't find anything under $200/night. I live close enough that I've never stayed overnight in DC, I usually sober up and drive home after shows. I'm not counting on that for May.

The hotel and the Phillips Collection (where the exhibit is) are in "Embassy Row." It's an areal of old mansions, most of which serve as embassies. It ain't cheap but in D.C. Public transportation via the Metro system and cabs is pretty cheap.
