Just wondering if any of you guys have ever tried the kits sold on here? They just shut most all of em down, but. Ive read some experience vaults on erowid and a bunch of ppl like em. I think the one I made tasted more like horse shit. But supposedly if you add anise it taste better. Any comments?

It tasted like horseshit because it was horseshit. You can't make absinthe by soaking herbs and not distilling the resulting mess.
You really should introduce yourself before jumping into the discussions.
In addition, Erowid is full of horseshit. There is lots of good information available if you are willing to look for it.

Ebay shut down the selling of absinthe kits?
That's wonderful news indeed.

Yeah, those kits are shit. And there is a small cadre of true absinthe believers that keep an eye out for those bullshit kits and dutifuly let ebay know so they can pull that crap off.

The harsh, bitter flavors that make kits taste like shit gets left behind in the still,
the good, flavorful oils get concentrated and blended nicely.
Two totally different tastes.

I know what the little pervert meant.
And yes, damnit! Yes!
That's what young Scotsmen are for.
Well, that and enabling my drunkenness.
