...is lots of exercise.

Yeah, right. arcadeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.gif arcadeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.gif arcadeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.gif
Crosby
I assure you, I won't be flying out to go jogging with Ted any time soon.
Crosby
Thay also say to reward your self frequently.
A.B. Normal
I "reward" myself frequently, but not like that.
Nice.
Crosby
Since I've felt like there was glass under my skin for the last four days, frequently it is.
Crosby
Thanks Oxy, I didn't even have to leave home.
Crosby
I won't have to worry about what to do with all that money I'll be saving not buying ciggies.
Crosby
Now if he can only find the other item I'm looking for.

???
A.B. Normal
This whole thread makes me want a cigarette.
Crosby
The mere thought of a cigarette makes me wet.
A.B. Normal
The mere thought of a shower makes me wet.

Well, I'm off to get clean.
Crosby
I'm back to keeping my mind active and my hands busy. DG.gif
A.B. Normal
If you can keep your mind active while your hands are busy, my hat's off to you.
sixela
So, when you post here, are you simply not thinking, or using your elbows to type? Or is your hat/tiara always off to us?
A.B. Normal
I would think it's clear that me being in here indicates a lack of any thought on my part.
Crosby

I was guessing topless, on your elbos.
A.B. Normal
I wonder if I could type with my breasts.

Fuck that gum shit, it only puts off the inevitable. Cold turkey is the only way to go, as long as you can be drunk at night. Drinking might increase a persons desire to smoke, but I can’t see being able to sleep without it.
A.B. Normal
Yeah, fuck the gum.

The giddy joy I get from unwrapping the plastic and the sound it makes.
Pulling back the foil tab and getting that scent of fresh tobacco.
Sliding one out of the pack and rolling it between your fingers.
You wet your lips just enough…
Lighting it and inhaling that first puff of sweet sweet smoke.
That sense of the smoke filling your lungs, if only for a moment of ephemeral bliss, while you calculate your breath.
Feeling the calm that rushes over you as the nicotine reaches your bloodstream.
You exhale and let some of the smoke gently float back up and take in the scent once more.
Watching the smoke dance in the sunlight that’s streaming through the blinds.
You close your eyes, and you’re so relaxed that all your senses are awake.
Lick your lips and taste it again.

Damn, you have willpower.
Crosby
I so want to spank your booty right now.
Wild Bill Turkey
So Abby's willpower to be nice caved before yours, Cros. You've won. It's over. You can relax and smoke now.

Cold Bill Turkey was the only way for me. I quit in '00. After trying to reduce my smoking, trying lighter smokes, and a few other ideas, I just rolled down my truck window one morning and flicked the last cigarette I was ever going to smoke out the window, and I knew it.

greeneyes
I'm rooting for you, Cros.
I know exactly how big a bitch it is.
A.B. Normal
Sorry Cros.
I just couldn't help myself.
I'm done now.
Kirk
Avoid boredom at all costs.

Try this instead Heroin Helper.

The key to quit smoking is to not smoke again.

It's easier during a life changing event like moving.
Absinthe_1900
What Cros needs is an absorbing hobby to occupy his time.

I recomend taking up painting.

Some inspiration can be found here:

Le Gimp
I quit smoking the last time in 73 when the navy and I got up to 3 packs a day.

Hustler had a fold out comparison of two lungs in one issue. I tore it out and taped it to a wall. One lung was nice and pink. The other was supposidly from someone who smoked. Nothing like incentive.

Then again I used to wake up and light up a cigarett, cough and hack for 5 minutes and then light a second cigarette before getting out of bed, so I was light smoker.

Cold trukey is the way.
Crosby
Yeah, I was a light smoker too. If it was light out, I smoked. I guess I was a dark smoker too...
A.B. Normal
I actually get so stressed from you people talking about quitting that I'm smoking more.
Crosby
You should quit, it’s one hell of an experience. I can only describe the first 72 hours as an exquisite agony.
A.B. Normal
I've been there.
For 51 exquisitely agonizing hours.
My relationship with smoking transcends mere addiction to nicotine.

It's crossed my mind in the past few days, though.
jaded prol
I used to smoke "Drum" tobacco but I quit a long time ago.

Today however, I need a drink . . .
greeneyes
Time for me to kick again.
Off. Jack Batemaster
Thank satan I'm not addicted.
Grey Boy
Thank whomever I've never smoked.
Damned crutch...
Grey Boy
Unlike alcohol of course.
A.B. Normal
Right.

You're a totally balanced individual, and that's why we love you.
Grey Boy
Thank you for coming to your senses
and realizing I'm your Dr. Phil.
Grey Boy
Now show me your tits please.

He did seem to fill out both cups the same, not lopsided at all.
A.B. Normal
Look at me!
Grey Boy
Nice rouge!

Reality is just a crutch for people who can't deal with alcohol.
