A.B. Normal
I'm drinking Heinekin.
My absinthe and my case of bogjumperskirtspreader are still in the moving truck.
And it was the best AMPM had to offer.
And it's all I've seen so far.
sixela
In what hellhole are you that forces you to take these drastic measures to ensure sufficient fluid intake?
A.B. Normal
Just a new hellhole.
Don't know my way around this part of town.
Yet.

I'll find my liquor nirvana by tonight...just you wait.
jaded prol
If there's one place you don't have to worry about finding a drink, it's Vegas. Just sit in front of a slot machine in a fancy place and they bring you drinks for free.

Shouldn't be too hard to beat Heinekin.

Absinthe_1900
Did you check your new closets for lurking clowns?
A.B. Normal
Yes.

But more importantly, I got rid of the THREE lurking clowns in my old place.

One was given a new home and two went the way of the dumpster.

Are you sure you're in Vegas? It sounds more like Salt Lake City

I know the perfect housewarming gift. DG.gif
Crosby
I got her a plant.
Absinthe_1900
Some comfy chairs would be nice.
A.B. Normal
Cros--

Ha!

That's actually one of the things that got tossed.
Someone beat you two that about two or three years ago.

And speaking of clowns, in approximately 3.5 hours, they're razing the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino. It has a big, freaky clown head out front. So, I'm all good with this demolition.

And now that I have my absinthe and my bogjumperskirtspreader. I do believe I'll drink to that.

I'm looking for THE liquor store.
A few miles down the road, there's something called "Rebel's Beer and Liquor" right across from a place simply called "Smoke Shop." I'm thinking I've found my spot.

And I'm now drinking a Besançon, which is quite yummy.
Wild Bill Turkey
They had that at Rebel's?
A.B. Normal
It is Vegas.
Wild Bill Turkey
Then I bet "Smoke Shop" ain't too bad either.
A.B. Normal
Haven't tried that yet. We'll see.
A.B. Normal
Onto a Pontarlier.
Good, but it ain't no Besançon.
TheGreenOne
Nope, it's not.
Off. Jack Batemaster
However, it could also be better than a Besancon...
sixela
Don't taunt me.
Off. Jack Batemaster
Hasta be done right.
TheGreenOne
Rumors abound.
Off. Jack Batemaster
? Haven't heard any rumours about that, I just know it could be done.
TheGreenOne
It would probably take some aging before it was right,
Off. Jack Batemaster
That's what I'm thinkin...

Taunting Sixer?
sixela
Well, Cros, I must admit that writing Besançon without the cédille works better than posting pictures of gutted penguins.
A.B. Normal
I've been not quite right (physically) since I got here.
I chalked it up to stress and heavy lifting and not enough water.
People have been recommending green tea and various pills (my folks are trying to pawn their meds off on me).

Beer tonight and I'm all better.

To quote the great Homer,
"Beer. Now there's a temporary solution."
Absinthe_1900
Try these, they should help.

Herbal Remedy
greeneyes
That sucks, AB. Poor timing for feeling poorly. Hope the beer fixed you up.

New locations always make me sick
until I adjust to the native flora.
A.B. Normal
I was sick for 8 months when I first moved to AZ from VA.
But Vegas and Phoenix aren't exactly all that different.
I have an appt. with a quack this morning, so we'll see.

I actually prefer this toast made by Homer on one certain occassion...

"To alcohol, the cause of and solution to all of life's problems."
A.B. Normal
Looks like I won't be drinking for a little while.
I hate doctors.
TheGreenOne
Bummer.
Crosby
Preggers?
Absinthe_1900
Better to ride the on the wagon for awhile, rather than being carried out by one.
Kirk
Poor Abacus, I hope you feel better soon baby,
we'll poor one on the curb for you Saturday,
take care of yourself, listen to the doctor and take some vitamin B

Midori no Yousei, Olde Aunt Sally's Superior Extract of Wormwood, Prototype 27, A'Yahos Besançon and some Dead Soldier Blanche.

Now I'm moving onto a new verte by a very new artisan... he calls it Beloved Poison. A sweet first effort! Keep it up!

Keep pushing the herbal tea, Ms. Abby. Tonight I got cozy with the Eichelberg. Had planned to get up early so's I could get my bike inspected before work tomorrow, and ride to DC on Sat. morning for the L-Fest. I think I'll be sleeping in, instead.
DrinkSlinger

I had a nice big bottle of Delerium Tremens before picking the gal up from work. While waiting at the bar I sucked down 2/3 of a long trail... then the phone call... another death (too many in too short a time). She seems surrounded by the dying and soon to be dead.

A long drive, then back towards home where I encountered a car on it's side, driver stumbling about in a haze... I rescued this young foundling and brought him somewhere safe® away from the coppers. Poor kid, he was so f-ed up. I kept laughing at him.

Then it was a nice relaxing 90 minutes of me, a few Long Trail Hefeweizens (yeah it's new) and the movie "Hostel".

I'd really dig some absinthe right now, but goddamnit if I'm not dry. Amazing ain't it?
A.B. Normal
That was really subtle, Dinky.
Absinthe_1900
Eric is coming over tomorrow if that helps. DG.gif

Punch Trate™ in the crotch for me...
DrinkSlinger
I wasn't asking for absinthe, just stating that I don't have any.

I've got a credit card and I know how to signal the flying monkeys.
Off. Jack Batemaster
Butt really, why even bother?
