I planted a bunch of Hyssops seeds a week ago, and the little buggers are sprouting like crazy.
I planted six small starter pots, and each one has about six sprouts.
So, I can't find any info in my gardening book.
Any suggestions as to where to where to plant them?
Do they make a nice border for a sidewalk?

Full sun to part shade, depending on the heat/humidity, with moderate/regular water. Compact, 1.5-2' high and 3' wide. Tolerates trimming as a low hedge or as border for a knot garden. Tolerates some drought but will thrive with regular moisture if drainage is good.

I realize that Officianalis has been the traditional herb.
I realize that Agastache is indiginous to the US, and was lilely never used in the past. I thought it sounded like it might be an interesting substitute/addition.

Yeah, I had an absinthe with Anise Hyssop in it and it didn't contribute much. You're better off just using controlled quantities of high quality standard ingredients.

Tarragon is an Artemisia. That's where the Tom Jones comes in.
It DOES sound like a tasty marinade, tho.

The FDA regulates all Artemisias in food products onnacuz o da 2jones. Tarragon's spozed to be a 2jone source, no? Like pansy and . . . um . . . white cheddar?

No. From all the reading I've done the Roman is prefered (of course that's the one that's harder to find). Some sources cite them as interchangeable, but I've tasted both and the Roman is smoother, sweeter.
Roman Chamomile
chamaemelum nobile tastes sweet, almost apple like.

I know that Basil has nothing to do with absinthe, nothing, but I just had to share.
I took the first harvest from my basil plants, and they're drying in my new dehydrator. Yummm, the whole apartment smells like fresh cut basil.

Back on topic:
I've noticed chamomile growing on the sides of most of the backroads around here. One of my favorite rides, which includes 3 mountain passes, has literally miles of flowering chamomile. It's beautiful, and functional. I packed a jersey pocket with flower tops the other day.
Yesterday I made the discovery that I've also got wild Angelica growing along one of my other rides. I don't know how I missed the plants since most of them are 7+ feet high. I took a little rest stop, munched on a few angelica seeds, and reflected...
Now if I could just find that field of Wormwood.

I found the wild wormwood here. I started collecting last weekend and i will be spending a large part of this weekend doing the same. The plants are just reaching full bloom!

I just got back from Calgary yesterday. While I was there, I discovered the downtown Bow River jogging path is lined with wild A.A. It looks like the next phase of my project is a "go", so I'll be spending a lot time there for the next few months. They are working on getting me a " Work Permit" Those crazy Canuckys are quite anal about coming in and stealing their jobs. Now I just have to figure out how to get the A.A. back here.
