King of the Echo People
Dec 9 2003, 11:05 AM
Hello all. I am the King of the Echo People. I have been drinking absinthe since 1998, but just recently got access to the internet. I have a cousin in Spain and he has been shipping it to me all these years. I am currently awaiting a bottle of Un Emile 68 from Miguel, as well as a nice reproduction spoon. I'm so sick of using a tablespoon with holes drilled in it...dig? So how many people here have tried this Un Emile stuff? I hear it's identical to the pre-1900 absinthe. Does anyone ever drink their absinthe naked. I find this very stimulating and "tingly". Should I stop this? Does it mean I'm gay? I hope not, my wife & kids will be mad. Who is this Larspeart guy? I play the drums too, Lars. I like to use animal skin instead of those shitty Remo drum skins. They always break. Who is this dickheadlosershitforbrainsgoatsuckerripoffartist! guy? He sounds like a bad man.

Whoever he is, he's a Crispin Glover fan. That photo is from Glover's Letterman appearance in 1991(?) (It was a little after Rivers Edge came out).

Yeah, I remember seeing that. Awesome...

I've always sort of admired Glover's eccentricity in a business that very seldom rewards it. Around the time as that Letterman appearance, Crispin had an art gallery showing in LA. It consisted of shoeboxes with plastic dinosaur glued into dioramas inside, like a 2nd grader might make. Except each one was just a little...off...twisted...wrong....somehow. Great fun, tho not really art....

Lystie,
Have you seen Bartleby?
King of the Echo People
Dec 9 2003, 12:37 PM
Bartelby is one of Crispin's best films. It's based on a Herman Melville short story. What is all this talk about puppets? Does anyone know where I can get an absinthe glass for cheap?

Sorry, Remo heads only for me. I tried stretching my cat over a drum once to see if it was really better, but I just got clawed a lot, and Toby didn't come out from under the couch for a week.
On the plus side, I had the only hissing couch in Detroit.

No, I haven't even heard of it (according to Maturin, a first!)

I had some Guacamole Lays Chips yesterday, horrible. They had a strange, unnatural, green powder all over them, were very salty, and tasted very vaguely like guacamole. I like the lime Tostitos though.
