I, for one, think It'd be cool to see pic's of all of ya drinking absinthe next to the Statue of Liberty, in the subway, on top of the Empire State Building, in Central Park, and in Time Square. Louched Glasses of the Hooch Everywhere!

And through all this, I love Lambchop more.
Why?
She gets pissed, which is good.
She can drink at least as much as me, prolly more.
She's buds w/my Peeps.
If we got in a fight, she'd enjoy it, and would expect
me to not hold back.
She's not afraid to drive the show.
As fucked up as I was this morning, and didn't
want to even move off Rimmy's bed, I should
have marched to the Lamb's bleatings.
My bad.
Very bad.

Lammy, Sheepy & myself begged him to come over last night, but the whole situation was like Groundhogs Day for the mayor at that point, so we understand him just wanting to go the fuck home.
You were sorely missed Mr. Mayor, as was Rimmy. And according to everyone most of Wednesday evening was at least a lot of fun. Wish I could have been there. Glasses were raised in your honor last night.
Santa may be a couple days late this year, but I'm sure he'll drop a care package down the Mayors chimney...

It was with somewhat heavy heart that the mini-fest was convened despite the absence of two of our own. Good stuff was drunk, tips were exchanged, wondrous praise was handed out for the fineness of some excellent brew, but ultimately the thing was lacking. We were like a donkey without a head.
In essence, what happened was that the Real World intersected with this floating world that we were trying to convene in real time, and the Mayor got caught in the crossfire. An awful, but perhaps unavoidable situation.
We were thus glad for the surprise last minute presence of Bumpy. He didn't (and couldn't have) made up for our missing folks, but he did as good a job as could have been hoped for.
And Wednesday night, though it involved not a drop of absinthe at all, was a great good time. Perhaps a little too good. But despite the disappointment in my mind over the Plan unfulfilled, a night drinking with the Mayor at the Rover is quite a thing, no matter what follows on it.

Sorry about what happened, guys. I wasn't feeling up to hitting the Turkey's nest on Thursday, and I should've just put the Mayor in a cab and sent him there without me. Note for the future: don't ever let me drink whiskey after I've been pounding pints for 6 + hours.

i love jameson, tullamore, and powers.
i know there are others, but generally a place will have one of those 3 if i'm in an from the Land of Bogs mood. Coleman's in Syracuse has all three, so i get a couple powers before starting with the pins of vitamin g.

I used to go to Coleman's with the very Gramma that I am going to visit during the Diplomatic Mission to Syracuse. It was there that I actually first tried listening to the stories that she was telling me, and realized that she is a pretty fly chick, especially considering she is old enough to remember selling war bonds for WWI.
Tullamore is grand. Jameson is the gold standard. Powers makes me hurt the next day.
Which was part of the problem yesterday.
