The pendulum swings back and forth. The harder the side in power pushes their agenda, the more severe the backlash when things change. We are currently paying the price for all of those years of political correctness. Just like when McCarthyism ended, there is going to be one hell of a counterculture push in the other direction. Of course, that will set things up for the pendulum to swing in the other direction, but we might see one hell of a summer of love first.
